That would probably violate some safety ordinances on board.

....and? The ship could be hijacked by xenos and melta bombs would allow us to destroy it or the xenos craft.

Look, Imperial Navy troops aren't even given lasguns for fear of causing catastrophic hull failure. No melta bombs.

No melta bombs.
Standard equipment onboard is shotguns and shotpistols for officers. (is the name right? its a pistol using shotgun ammo). Oh, and custom UZIs with more stop-power. Officers also like stun-staffs and cutlass (yarrh).

Why does that make me think of Serenity? I kinda remember a similar event...

Hahahaha, no.

-=-Party Hard in Hard Vacuum-=-
MEANWHILE, IN SPACE
Part 3

Lord General Verhoff
"...and by the time he realised his arm was off, he'd captured the position and driven the company standard through the commander's chest!"

Assembled Nobility
"Ohohohoho!"

Lord General Verhoff
"Naturally, I promoted him to Corporal on the spot..."

Commissar Halian
"Kill me."

Lord General Verhoff
"Later."

You are terminally bored. You have been on the Spirit of Silver for about a week, touring the wonders of the void and various Navy facilities. The Lord General is entertaining some nobles, accompanied by his silent bodyguards and yourself. Currently, you are attending a party in a cavernous hall, one entire wall consisting of huge arched windows. Beyond it you can see the glimmer of stars and some faint nebula.

In full regalia with your weapons at your hips, you cut an imposing figure and so far have been avoided by the civilian passengers. You've tolerated the inane chatter till now, but you're itching to do something.

Ask the nearer machine priest a map for the command bridge. Do not forget to take supplies for the journey.

Any particular reason you want to travel several kilometres to the bridge?

It's boring there. Plus, we could look at all the technological marvel there is on the bridge. Especially the Auspex.
