"Depends on how deep we go. Apparently, some aircraft sized underground hangars have been detected so far, but they are only large circular hatches in appearance."

WHOOPS! Sorry I'm late...

Joe hurries to whatever just went on. He carries a WWII-era M1 Garand Rifle slung at his left shoulder and a .45-caliber M1911 Pistol at his right hip. He is dressed in dark green trousers, a dark green U.S. Army shirt and dons a dark green military cap. A small knapsack is on his back, from which a small hand-axe is hanging.

"What did I miss?"

"... Just the entire briefing. Nevermind. Someone will fill you in."

The Turian driver walks up to you.

"Basically, the Wolf that we are borrowing will land after the infantry secure it, and we go in to investigate"

The robed girl, suddenly starts babbling nonsense

"Inside... Clockwork... God... Domain..."

The Stingray's four Turbo-propeller engines created a roar of noise in the wilds. In the distance, 3rd Division had engaged a suitably large force of the elusive opponent, and as the sun set, flashes of light from various guns were visible. the team disembarked like professionals, covering everyone disembarking. the Wolf remained on the underside, as that couldn't make it through the 300M of thick forest. After everyone was off, Wash took off. He maintained a distance, as he did his circuit.

"Lets investigate, kiddies." Varayis says over the INCOM.

Everyone is in a single file, Adele leading, through the thick forest. After twenty minutes of not-so quiet movement, you all get to the edge of the vegetation.

"Ah Hell, civvies" Adele says.

Down in the Courtyard of sorts, is a rusty ship, that looks like it could easily fall apart, but doesn't The figure apparently in command has a brown longcoat, and he has several subordinates, including a man mountain with an intimidating firearm. Also in the group is a famailiar robot...

((I use shotguns, btw))

Stay low to the ground as much as possible while making circuit. Also keep communicator ready in case of emergencies.

You fly just over the trees. Nothing on the INCOM, apart from an "Oh Hell, Civvies..."

And BTW, Shotguns are when you are on the ground. When piloting, you get the carbine.

Sai'oda pulled out her sniper rifle, caressing it like a lover.

She murmured.

"What's the plan? Browncoats were supposed to be some tough shit back in the war days, but they never faced me. They're probably just smugglers anyway...no one will miss them..."

Sai'oda looked at the group through her scope. He could see a young man who looked like a doctor, speaking to a hysterical young woman in the shadows of the hold. Hmm. The family resemblence was impossible to miss.

She wondered what sort of ship that was. It looked vaguely familiar.

(Guess I'll play SARU while he's present. I thought for sure you'd notice him, Dwarmin. :/)

SARU: The robot, now in a brown longcoat of his own, sat on a crate and watched the treeline. Was that a glint? He raised his own sniper rifle and peered through it, turning on his thermal optics as he did so. Outline appears to be Batarian with a rifle. I should warn the others. "Captain Reynolds, there appears to be a Batarian sniper watching us. He or she is not alone. There are... at least ten others with her."

Samane: The asari peered into the clearing. "Um, guys? Heads down! Their robot's aiming at us!" she said, dropping into a crouch behind a nearby log.

"Is that you, SARU? man, you get around. It's play guys, they shouldn't be hostile." Varayis says loud enough so everyone can hear it. The other party lower their weapons. The plucky team approach.

"I take it you're military?" the captain enquires

"IA, we need to sweep this area, and the ruins. Our pilot should arrive soon. And you are?"

A distant roar of engines is audible to the group.

The Captain replies "Mal. Mal Reynolds. We got a job to haul some tech from here. Not too dangerous, I take it?"

"shouldn't be. Just don't go deeper into the ruins, we have reports of some pretty dangerous forces in there"

"Shiny. Jayne, Kaylee, bring in the cutters."

And with that, some words were exchanged about stuff. Any RP to SARU, go right ahead.

Samane nodded to Varayis and stood, joining the others with the group of civilians. SARU had, by this time, lowered his rifle as he stood with the rest of his crew. "Sai'Oda. Good to see you again." The robot gestured to them. "I thought about what you said and decided to make a choice for myself for once. The crew of the Serenity could always use another gun, and Miss Kaylee is a skilled mechanic that I can trust to repair any injuries I may sustain. Since I do not eat or otherwise drain resources, I thought my time out in the 'verse would be best spent helping those who need it more than the IA."

The Asari merely blinked at him. "Did that robot just say it was thinking for itself?" she asked. "It's not a Geth, though. Unless they decided to try a new design for their infantry," she added, looking SARU over. "Correct. I am not Geth. I am a Spectrum Corporation Product~, Unit 10102031, Sniping And Reconnaissance Unit. Alternatively, Spectrum Analysis Research Utility. You may call me Saru for short. My instructions were to gather performance data to return to Spectrum Corporation. I have decided that how I collect that data should be my choice. Analyzing how my CPU processes different situations and resolves unusual decisions is important research data." "That's pretty dangerous territory to be messing with, though," Samane said. The last time a race had delved into artificial intelligence it had resulted in a civil war of sorts.

"Rest assured I mean you no harm, Asari female. As long as you threaten neither my crew or myself." Saru indicated the general area with an off-hand gesture and stood. "Er, right. Well, I'm Samane T'Alece. It sounds like you already know the rest of the crew..." "Correct. Lieutenant Varayis." He turned to the woman and inclined his head slightly. "I trust you are keeping well?"

Ah, bit Sai'oda *hadn't* the noticed the Robot-at least, she saw a robot, but she thought SARU was being cut apart in a lab somewhere since his dissappearance.

She approached once the all clear was given.

"Saru? They told me you went rouge, but I thought that was just a cover story. Glad to see you've overcome some of those limitations. You still owe me another fight, the last one was a fluke."

She walked up to one they called "Mal"

"Also, you look familiar. Pan Divers Bar, Planet Plescine, about a year ago? That big brawl on Unification day? I remember you had a pretty good right hook, but you pulled your punch when you saw I was a lady. Not that I didn't repay the favor."

Sai'oda chuckled humorously.
