The party leaves the bar. The knight and the thug, now in the middle of a conversation about where was the best place to get drunk, wave for a moment before the door closes, sealing you out of the bar until you open it again. The party passes over the Crag Bridge, which is built over a massive canyon and head through the Guard garrison. But no one pays the party any head. Angling yourself toward the Giant Oak-like trees that grow in regular rows, outside of town. After asking around, the party is directed towards a lean looking figure wearing a straw hat and black stained clothing.
"Well, the goblins attack at night, hitting the southernmost farms. Now normally a few goblins wouldn't be a problem- we even got some tamed goblins that work pretty hard for a nice house and a cut of the Acorn Flour - but this is a whole tribe of them and they get mean when their in packs. They usually come around midnight, for some reason. A few of my farmers headed out to try and kill them- before they could interfere with the harvesting by burning the trees and killing the tame goblins in their beds -all my boys got beaten pretty badly and one died of his wounds...Shame...Anyway, we decided to call in the adventurers with a bounty. We'll give you 50 CI for each Red Tree Goblin head brought in, all the treasure from the hive, and a nice feast if you destroy them all. Their hive is located south of the farms. Here I'll mark it on your map."
He takes your party's map and pulls a charcoal stub out of nearby ashes and draws a small X on your map, its only about a fifth of a days walk from here.

You look around for a place to stay, and find a old nice widow is renting out a spare room. There seems to be no other vacancies.
It will cost  five silver a month, and you have to buy your own food.
Decoding all the notes and legibly rewriting them will take a while, around two hours.
