Dreaming in Purgatory

OK, new forum game that I'm running alongside pixels so first of all - hey guys!

Second of all I should probably say what this game is about, first of all you guys should know I'm pretty good at lucid dreaming and creating detailed dreamscapes which is going to be the basis for this game - you suggest what I should do, then when I wake up in a dream I'll wipe the world clean, imagine where we were at the end of the last turn and then attempt to fulfill your actions and let everything run its course, I'll then write up what happened in the dream.

Like all good forum games though we're going to need some story and a bit of background so it's like this; you've just died and woken in purgatory from which you must escape either by reaching Heaven, Hell, Valhalla, crossing the Styx, true death or some other unforeseen ending.

Dream 1

You feel yourself falling, air rushes through your hair, tears flood your eyes and sail past you as the rushing air plucks them from your face, for a brief moment they are indistinguishable from the sea foam with which they become mixed - the next moment you are dead - shredded by the cliff's jagged rocks. All in all it was a rather bland affair, nobody had been there to watch, it had been quick and fast and the world continued it's orbit of the sun regardless of your decision.

Your not quite sure how but you find yourself on a train platform, a conductor is shouting "All aboard! All aboard" whilst a flurry of confused people follow his directions unquestioningly stumbling towards the iron horse. They all seem to have a ghostly appearance to them, like silhouettes or maybe it'd be more accurate to describe them as the impression you get of a person when you look at them from the corner of your eye, concentrating on them causes details to flicker, some people you think you recognize. A girl you met once at a party, members of your family, strangers you've seen on street corners before, you walk over to the train conductor and ask him what's happening.

"Your dead, this train will take you somewhere where you can learn to fly, it's your reward."
"I'm dead? I don't feel dead, what are all of these people doing here? Are they dead? And what is the reward for?"
"The answer to those questions is for you to find. There is nothing more I can say I'm afraid."

This... is an interesting idea for sure. How good are we talking about here? Lucid dreaming every single night good?

Will we suggest something already, or after your first dream?

Well I sleep on the bus to and from college, at night and on weekends have a midday nap with about a %60 chance of a lucid dream so you'll get an update most days. The quality of the dreams is similar to what I described in the first dream, I had to add in some details like the specific dialogue spoken but that's pretty accurate of what actually happened and now I've edited in the first dream you can start making suggestions.

Indeed.

Ride the train, learn to fly, then fly back and beat the conductor over his head until you get a clear answer. test the bounds of this dimension.

Yeah, I don't doubt you, I sometimes get amazingly detailed movie-like dreams. Lucid dreaming isn't really my thing, though, as every time I realize what's happening I get too excited and wake up. That said;

>All aboard the flying purgatory-train! Of course it flies. What a silly question. How else would you learn to fly?

...When you have a dream where there's an energized atmospheric current of giant fish floating over an ancient temple with unknown writings from before man's rise which you strangely understand, are unveiled a prophecy of man's rise and fall beneath the wings of fallen gods from a far-gone world, and are charged by a black-clad Cthulhu-eque faceless alien riding a black horse before smashing the prophecy stone and climbing down the ladder hidden beneath, to find a massive ancient temple with technology far outreaching our own yet older than our species, let me know. :P

...I have really weird dreams.

No, don't give us the abridged version!

Talk to the conducter and recreate the like a boss song.

Dream 2

You try to talk to the conductor though he ignores you completely and steps onto the train, you follow him and as the last of the silhouettes board the train it begins to move, the incline of the track steadily increases until you are traveling directly upwards. Trying to communicate with the others is unsuccessful, they do not react at all to you at all to your questions or attempts at small talk and so you sit down and gaze out the window at the polkadot coloured land-scape.

The train begins to slow and then stops entirely looking at the window this confuses you, there is no platform outside - just air - a man taps you on the shoulder to get your attention and after realising he's the man that conceived you, you smash the window next to you, take a shard from its remains and plunge it into his eye.

He stumbles backwards and from the gouge emerges a hollow tube it expands and after a few seconds you realise it is a snake, you bite it and swallow the entire length of the snake, it soon passes through your body and continues to expand, it squirms out of your trousers, unhinges its jaw and swallows you whole. Inside the snakes mouth seems to be a strange woodland forest which is rapidly growing.

Your not sure from where though you hear somebody shout your name "Ash!" you look for the source of the voice but without success stare down the snake's throat far in the distance, again you hear somebody call "Ash!" you realise the voice is coming from below the floor and so descend down some nearby stairs and find yourself in the kitchen from your old home.

Inside is a squirrel twirling two meat skewers like batons and floating a few feet above the plastic tile floor, he drops to the ground passes the skewers to you and asks you to try, spinning one skewer in each hand you feel yourself float slowly through the ceiling and then through the trees of snakemouth forest and then you float into the air, you drop the skewers and find yourself flying unassisted, as the skewers drop through the air they impale the squirrel however, flying to his assistance you see him breathing heavily on the floor, he says "thank you", then kisses you on the cheek and disappears in a puff of smoke.

The train you were riding on then crashes through the snakes mouth, presumably after having been eaten, the train conductor calmly walks out and followed by the silhouettes announces "We've arrived, it's time to learn how to fly"
