Yay, I'm a Hooker! Uh...waitaminute... ???

So what exactly has III Corps been up to all this time, just defending the route north to Washington?
EDIT: Oh. Looks like they were on the Peninsular Campaign(?)

Yeah heavily involved, they were part of Kearny's corps I think. Ill check and have a look :D

*Just reinstalling the game, had some ctd on startup issue.

Yeah they were involved in all the Major battles in the peninsular, from the very beginning to the withdrawl. Hooker's division currently commands 5665 men, 498 horses and 46 cannon. The most wounded regiment are the 3rd and 4th ME with 210 men from a 600 strong regiment. Kearnys Corps has 13,483 men total.

George G. Meads new corps has a whopping 22,000 men of good quality.

Oh and you are GENERAL Hooker, not a Hooker XD

Oops, this scenario was only a year long, and we scored a stalemate. Neitherside got a victory but neitherside lost.
Well now I've got the hang of it again I will do the full campaign of all theatres 1861-65 as the Confederacy :D

I'm unsure as to how I would do that screenshot wise, but i'm sure ill manage XD.

The Confederacy

"Thank God, we have a country at last: to live for, to pray for, and if need be, to die for." - Lucius Quintus Cincinatus Lamar(Senator)

Early April 1861

"Reading that telegram he looked so grieved that I feared some evil had befallen our family. After a few minutes he told me like a man might speak of a sentence of death." - Jefferson Davis' wife Varina upon Davis receiving a telegram that he had been elected president of the CSA.

"Upon my weary heart was showered smiles, plaudits, and flowers, but beyond them I saw troubles innumerable. We are without machinery, without means, and threatened by powerful opposition but I do not despond and will not shrink from the task before me." - Jefferson Davis

I believe these quotes sum up our position.

Action number 1: We are industrialising Georgia. We need arms and supplies and weapons and trains, Georgia is both far from most danger and industrialised fairly well already.

The Union have intitiated a blockade on our nation and have mobilised their armies to oppress us.

We start an embargo on the export of cotton to europe to try and force them to assist us.

The Confederate army of the Potomac is being formed out of militias and regular troops loyal to the south in Virginia under the command of P. T. G Beauregard.

As yet no one is prepared to advance against us or us them.

'Give me a reckless commander and two hundred thousand men, and you shall have your prize.'

Lol thats more men than the entire armies. You can have 450 men and Felix K. Zollicoffer. Hes a hothead which is the same as reckless, disengages badly.

News from Virginia

-Reports indicate that a Virginia militia regiment of 500 men has been routed and captured in Manassas by a small detachment of US  Marines who are now occupying the junction. This does not bode well for us.

-The Confederate capitol is moved to Richmond, Virginia.

-Volunteers, war bonds and money printing have been ferociously called for in preperation for our defence.

Early June

-Confederate commerce raiders have been successful in raiding Union shipping in the Atlantic seaboard, Hurrah for Admiral Raphael semmes!

-CSA militias are now being officially raised throughout then Confederacy.

-The 1st CSA Marines, 600 men have arrived in Virginia, Semper Fi?

-Zollicoffer is sent West to take command of a brigade in defence of Kentucky.

-The Texas Rangers are being mobilised to defend the south west.

RAGGGGEEEEEE!

Okay, I want whoever's got the 52nd NC Infantry. Pettigrew's Brigade, I think although they weren't formed until 1862 and weren't attached to that brigade until just before Gettysburg (where my GGG uncle was wounded, captured and died in a Union POW camp by September).
