Oh, I'm sorry for being rude... I really like the close to the nature/elements theme, there isn't that much mythology yet (as in gods/religion/culture stuff), but its heading on a direction not usually seen in D&D games, and I like the way its heading. Also like the countries currently presented. About the character slot I'd like to play is hmm... either High Tree or Frostfall ward, atm slightly in favor for High Tree, but definitely want to play a ward.

Also might have a problem as I am European and I do have a bad habit of working, so let's see if I can play when more people claim them slots and check a time from their calendar

I am -4 GMT, and I stay up til like 1 AM (atleast the past two days I have) so you should be fine.  And just so you know a Ward is simply someone who traveled with the representative and is a PC.  He could be a bard, a body guard, a barbarian kings "you know what let me do the talking okay boss" guy, anything really.  Not necessarily just a sidekick.

edit- also wards are only going to be in if we get a 5th player, so far we have 1 guy making  sheet, 2 guys who've come in and questioned the rules then left and I haven't seen them since, and you.

And precisely the reason why I want to play a ward is that I don't necessarily have to represent my country, just get the job done with this bodyguard thing. And If I'll play a representative I shall pick Frostfall, but yeah need to wait for more players and then check if we manage to get the scheludes so I can play. Until then I think I'll think about a few characters and bother you with questions about what books to use etc...

Sounds good, I want to work on my mythology, if necessary.

I'll keep most of the story the same. I'll replace humans with the raptorians if they are going to change that much. The second paragraph changed a bit, and the third paragraph is new. I didn't include the ritual rites, or how a representative is selected, so it could be a bit longer yet.

See the problem with the way you tell it is:

1. You never explain who the fey are, or why they team up against them.
2. Why would they join forces only to fight again?  What was the point of joining forces in the first place?
3. Also you keep bring up shiny objects, as I've said metals don't exist, and gems are only found in mountains so I'm not sure what they would give to the dragon that he'd actually want.
4. Still no elves (which I know are fey, but still.)

Stuff I liked:

1. The blood mixing with the sap causing the transformation.

Can you PM with what base race you are planning to be.

Have you considered buffing non-casters? They're much more equipment-dependent than most casters are, and are weaker to begin with, to boot. Of course, if it's going to be a combat-light campaign, it's not really a big deal, but if there's going to be a lot of fighting you probably need to do something to keep the fighter-types from being overshadowed.

Is there space for a Frostfell representative? Level 10 if it's open, but 8 is fine.

Frostfall is still open for 10, everything but high tree 10 is open, high tree 8 is sorta reserved.

It's a level 8-10, so "weaker" to begin with doesn't matter, not to mention the complete opposite of how the game works.  I have a character who does 1d4+2+4d6 damage at level 6, with a tiny knife that's not even magic.   This is also a "story" campaign so while I will try to challenge you, I"m not trying to actively kill you like I would if I was running a low-fantasy dungeon delving campaign.

What kind of melee damage is normal for level 10? I can't decide if I need to powergame more, less, or if I should swap out to an actual cleric based build.

What? Fighters, for example, don't get anything but feats that make them better at using equipment - which is very limited in this game.

Would a half-silver-dragon Sorcerer be fine?

I have a level 4 monk build that can deal 12d8, but at level 10 I think the 'average' without any serious optimization is about 2.5/ECL.

Why is everyone going half dragon!

Because without metal, strength must be found in other ways. In my case, it's because I gain icy breath. It's thematic.

If the DM is alright with it you could probably be another race cosmetically, and have the features of another. You'd just need to justify the breath weapon and any other features. That way you can have a breath weapon, and there wouldn't be as many dragons. It's something to consider anyways.

You have 50000 gold, lack of metal weapons and armor shouldn't be an excuse for anything.  Also I mixed up dragon-born with half-dragon.  Let me look up half-dragon in detail, and I'll get back to you on that.

I was thinking the template, not the bloodline, so you know.
