Stuff you should know-
You play as a representative of one of 4 (out of 5, the fifth being the bad guys, ooooh dear spoilehs), these regions are;

High Tree: The central region, most if not all of it's land covered with thick vegetation, and the great tree city of High Tree, were the council of five lands meet.

Main races: Raptorans, Wild/Wood Elves, Gnolls, Killorens.
Minor races: Humans (druids mostly), forest gnomes, other fey creatures.

Great Sea: The "water" region, mostly ocean strangely enough.  They also rule over the western coasts.

Frostfall Mountains: The "cold/rock" region, tundras, mountains, and glaciers cover this northern region.

The Sand: It's a desert in the east.  Seems as endless as the oceans to the west.

Farlands: Mostly forests and plains, to the south. Some mountains if you go really far south.  Nothing suspicious. Oh and they didn't send a representative this decade. *shrug*

Also this is a nature themed campaign, so there won't be any major cities besides High Tree, which is simply a huge tree lots of people live in.

Spoiler: Campaign rules (click to show/hide)

Each region has 2 characters (whether both are controlled by one or 2 players is up to interest.), one the representative and the other a ward.  Representatives start at level 10, while wards start at level 8.  Each region's pair has a shared gold amount of 75000 gold, the ward receiving at least 25k of it, more can be given from the representatives pool of funds.
Spoiler: Representatives (click to show/hide)

I'm sure I forgot something.

If you don't know know to play DnD don't bother posting. This isn't the type of campaign to teach.

I was interested because of the high level until I saw the campaign rules. I'm alright with equipment coming from different books, but the rules are ridiculous. Here is what is some of what is banned that is normally allowed.

EDIT: I'll change this list a bit since rules changed...

Armour and weapons can just be made out of darkwood and/or dragonhide. That isn't a problem. What is a problem is starting people at cohort levels, at significantly below normal wealth per level and perhaps more pressingly, allowing fey races (who's big advantage is DR/cold iron) in a world with no cold iron. Buh?

Alright, rule changes.  Because I forgot bards were arcane, and I kinda really want someone to have a bard as a ward.

Arcane is back in.  Not sure why I took it away, probably cause I thought it was a bit weird for a guy to carry a big book of paper, around in a big tree.  But it could be vellum I guess.

Metal exists but metallurgy isn't a thing, in the other 4 "kingdoms" (spoilers- the fifth group has gone all firebender on the world and do have metal and big scary war machines and are waging war on everyone else.)

And the books given weren't so much a limit as a suggestion.  I know storm wrack has lots of non-metal armors (cord, shark skin, etc) and frostburn has like 1 weapon that can't be used in this campaign because it's a big crossbow.  Sandstorm was pretty much just to finish the Trifecta.

Wards are NOT cohorts, since they are played by other players.  If we only get 4 guys, then there would be no wards.  If one guy gets a ward then it's only fair if everyone else gets one even if they have to play them there selves.

still iffy about rogues :/  cause I mean why would you send a rogue to a meeting?

Meh whatever rogues are in.

Stuff I was expecting/wanting:
Barbarians, Rangers, Druids, Clerics, Scouts, Fighters, spirit shaman (honestly i don't know much about that class), someone actually use the sugliin from frostburn.

edit- also I like how you listed barrels, as if those are important.

I'll start making a sheet once I look over the classes a bit more. I've never noticed the sugliin class. Don't expect the sheet to be completely done by Thursday, I have a midterm.

Barrels are always needed. I don't know where one of my characters would be without his 156 lb. barrel of ale. ;D

sugliin isn't a class, it's an unorthodox weapon.  http://frostburn.pbworks.com/w/page/8177730/Frostburn%20Gear

Why the amazingly low wealth?

You, your ward, and a bunch of people from your country are going to a big tree to discuss politics, why would you be decked out with adventuring gear?

1: Because I assume there is some danger in the world, otherwise why give any starting money.

2: Because have magic items and stuff is not just for fighting, it can also be used as a status symbol.

2b: What else would they do with it?

3: Because this is a game balanced around the idea of wealth=power and by cutting out such a huge amount you severely depower a lot of equipment heavy classes.

1: Because I assume there is some danger in the world, otherwise why give any starting money.  You are taking a trip, yes they're may be danger, but you aren't actively searching it out.  Think of your starting equipment like pepper spray or a tazer.

2: Because have magic items and stuff is not just for fighting, it can also be used as a status symbol. Wealth really doesn't MEAN anything in this world, you were chosen to represent your nation because it's your duty, not because you bought your way in.  You are either a prince, an advisor, a minor lord, high priest, archdruid, one of the few things that can breath air, a skilled speaker, etc. Your equipment wasn't bought it was awarded, gifted, or made by or for you because you earned it.

2b: What else would they do with it? Like you said earlier magic weapons can be used for showing status, you don't have +2 Iuak, you have Icecleaver a sword handed down through generations of your family, given to you on your journey to High Tree to keep you safe in case of ice giants or what have you. Not because it has good stats.

3: Because this is a game balanced around the idea of wealth=power and by cutting out such a huge amount you severely depower a lot of equipment heavy classes. I just added level 8 starting wealth with level 10 and then divided it by two.  Would you prefer say..75k to split between the two players? That would be closer to what there starting amount would be.

Gold isn't gold coins.  Since you know there's no metal...

Starting gold is more like embark points.

Would you be alright with a winged Dragonborn (RotD, p.8 ) Ordained Champion (CC, p.90) Cleric (doesn't heal) that wields a large sized sugliin? I thought I would try for something epic. :)

I'll be using the spells and turning checks to fuel the damage input. So don't expect to be healed by this cleric. :P

I have most of the books but I can't just figure out them by their short hand, dragonborn I gotta think about though (reading up right now)

I don't know what book CC (Did you mean Complete Divine?) is.   I assume since your using the sugliin that your going to be from the Frostfell?  Possibly Hightree since I'm sure they have large deer there as well.

CC is Complete Champion.

The Sugliin is from Frostburn.

I'll be posting some feats later today for approval.

EDIT: The Wings are an optional feature of Dragonborn.

I have no idea what you mean here. But yes, just giving the players appropriate starting wealth would be a good idea.

Unless this is going to be like a very specialized campaign. With like. No fighting. Role playing only. Then it does not matter.

CC is Complete Champion.

The Sugliin is from Frostburn. One of my favorite weapons simply for it's look.

I'll be posting some feats later today for approval.

EDIT: The Wings are an optional feature of Dragonborn.

Okay the only problem I have with dragon born, is the whole reborn servant of bahamut thing.  Bahamut doesn't exist in this world, so it doesn't make any sense why or how you could become a dragonborn, unless I come up with some other reason if you MUST be a dragon born, however I don't have any problems with you being half-dragon, or draconic (in fact being draconic could lead to awesome backstory about your family and why you are a representative, just sayin')

double edit- Just remembered the air domains special bonus about flying, if you go draconic/half-dragon you may have wings as if you were dragon born.

now I gotta find the complete champion book, shouldn't take long.

edit- and found, I will let you be an ordained champion despite the fact that the gods you have to choose don't exist and you don't have a deity for the weapon focus thing.

Your "deity" weapon is the Sugliin, and having to worship a specific god isn't hard so I won't penalize you for that.  However, there is no war in this world (at least not yet) so instead of getting war as a third domain, you simply get all of your regions domains, and one of them being the specific "war" replacement for when it comes to casting unprepared spells from.

also gold is now 50k for you, any left over will go to your ward.  (wards getting 25k)
