I wish I could join, but I'm sort of stuck in DW 5.0. My version isn't exactly legal and Steam refuses to let me buy a legit version online. I'll keep an eye on this. You'll make AARs, right?

You can get the patch, still.

Anyway to get it from somewhere that isn't piratebay? I don't have a torrent program handy. I've seen one straight-up file download of a patch, but that was ages ago. What's the newest patch?

Ah, I think the ones I've seen were beta patches for 5.1, then. I'll see if this fileplanet one works.

EDIT: It works, nice. I've got a question, though, about Hamachi. When we tried playing with more than two people through Hamachi with my friends, the game always crashed. I take it Hamachi has never caused any problems for you?

In any case, here's my three preferred countries.

1. Hungary
2. Milan
3. Teutonic Order

You can patch through the pirated launcher. You only need a legal copy for their forums.

Wow, a HUN Player, and VEN player, and a TUR player.

What a great time to be a BYZ player!

There is no TUR. I'll be spreading people around with their other choices, don't worry.

What settings will we use? I'm guessing most stuff normal, difficulty normal, inflation on, etc etc? Do we play with Lucky Nations on?

We didn't do so last time so I assume we won't do so this time either.

I'd like to sign up for another try at this if I may: Portugal, Castille, Sweden or Austria look appealing this time round. That said, I'm reasonably happy to play as any state in Europe if needs be.

One thing: Are you sure about rule 5 under the Peace Rules? I agree power blocs lasting the entire game are probably boring, but at the same time resetting diplomacy every session seems a touch forced.

If you can come up with a better simpler way of dissolving power blocs, by all means share it :)

Hell, that rule sounds great to me. It keeps my enemies lonely and confused.
