You killed somepony to protect another, don't feel bad because of it, be thankful Longshot's safe, that Dawnpick's safe, but most importantly that you're safe. These are dark times Friesden... violence...death... and misery will occur around us, and believe me, I would change that in a heartbeat, but I can't, no one can. I killed the badger pony, my only reasoning behind it was that he hurt Jaxler, so please don't feel bad Friesden..." Granite said, trying his best to comfort Friesden.

"Alrighty then... I really hope this stuff hasn't dried in my coat..." Granite said. He then spent about ten minutes at the well trying to wash Jaxler's blood off his back. He gave up on conventional methods and instead jumped into the well. The blood and mud washed off relatively quickly. Within a few moments of jumping in, Granite climes out of the well and moves up to Friesden. "So ready to go?" Granite casually asked, mane soaking wet and covering half of his face.
