[TALLPANZER]

Stiletto knocks lightly on the door of Lady Virtue’s office. "Lady Virtue, I need to talk to you."

Virtue slowly looks up from the papers she'd been pretending to pay attention to on her desk. "Come in..." she says in an apathetic voice

Stiletto opens that door and trots in, she bows. "Lady Virtue. First I would like to ask how you are feeling, do not be afraid to say anything. I promised to be your support when you needed it."

Virtue looks up and sighs. "Terrible, really. I never thought I'd have to put somepony in jail..."

Stiletto clenches her jaw. "You will have to make many hard decisions. If it helps, I have read your laws, you did make the choice that they recommend."

Virtue nods and sits up in her chair, trying to collect herself. "Yes... I did what I had to, I suppose." She tries to even her facial expression. "Sorry... I didn't mean to get off topic. What did you want to talk about?"

Stiletto lowers her head. "I am sorry Lady Virtue, but this is what I wanted to talk about. I am requesting to be placed in the cell with Flux, this matter was caused by the way I choose to live."

Virtue is speechless "Wh-what?" She blinks in confusion a few times. "This isn't your fault Stiletto..."

Stiletto looks up trying to hold her tears in. "Yes it is. I am the one who has the 'Hedonistic life style'. If I had just lived like the rest of you, this never wood have happened, Flux and I could have been happy together, just the two of us, but that was not enough for me."

Virtue bites her lip and fights for something to say. "Stiletto... I... I'll admit that our cultures are different... and that I don't completely understand... your... love life... but, this is still far from your fault." She sighs. She wished she knew exactly whose fault it was, or if there really was something that could have been done to prevent it. "Glaive... shouldn't have spoken against you like that... and Flux shouldn't have attacked him." She chews her lip for another moment. "You're all adults... and whatever it was between you all was done willingly... I don't see the harm in it..."

Stiletto walks toward Virtue. "Then this is a request. It is selfish, but it will alleviate my guilt."

Virtue looks down at her desk for a few awkward moments. "I... won't stop you if you want to spend time with Flux, of course... but I'm hesitant to actually lock you up with him... what if you're needed? What if... what if somepony hears about this and takes it the wrong way? I... fear tensions are high enough as it is..."

Stiletto breathes out heavily "I should have thought of that before I drove these ponies into such a jealous rage. I wish to remain imprisoned with him until his sentence has ended."

Virtue shakes her head. "Please don't beat yourself up over this..." She stands slowly and takes a step toward her. "...but maybe we should talk to Flux, first?"

Stiletto shakes her head. "Lady Virtue, you have already taken enough pain from this. Please let me take some of the burden from you, spare you some pain. I can bare it, I swear to you."

Tempting as that was, this was Virtue’s responsibility. "I..." She lowers her head slightly. "Thank you for the offer... as I've said before you're a good example to everypony, even if sometimes some ponies don't see it." She looks over to the door and adds: "Let's go see Flux... and talk about what you want to do..."

Stiletto nods slowly. "You are much stronger than anypony knows."

Virtue leads her down to the cell where Flux is being held. "Flux? There's somepony here to talk to you."

Stiletto trots slowly toward the cell. "My kindest love."

Flux looks up at his new visitors, unable to suppress a smile as he recognizes Stiletto. Seeing her expression, however, makes him uncertain. Flux bows to Virtue before addressing Stiletto.

Virtue frowns slightly at the bow and looks down.

"My Beautiful One. How are you, uh, doing?"

Stiletto touches the bars with her fore hoof. 'nur ein wenig Druck und ich konnte ... NEIN!' "I am here to join you."

Flux looks shocked. "What?! No! What... what happened?"

Stiletto closes her eyes. "This is my fault. My choice of life caused this to happen. I must share your punishment, my kindest love, I have made you hurt another pony." 'Ein böses und eifersüchtig Pony unwürdig leckte meine, NEIN!'

Flux looks at her, confused and relieved. "It's not your fault he... said something he shouldn't have. And it's not your fault that I... um, hurt him."

Stiletto points at the lock, "Lady Virtue, if you would please."

Flux worriedly looks at the lock as if he could keep the cell closed with effort of will.   "Stiletto, you did nothing wrong!"

Stiletto frowns. "If you believe that you are guilty then I have."

"I would have done that if he had insulted anypony I love. You don't control him, my Beautiful One." Flux reaches a forelimb through the bars to try to caress Stiletto's muzzle."You did nothing wrong."

Stiletto sighs "I control how I present myself, my kindest love, this would not have come about if you and I were a jealous couple, like everypony else."

"It's not your fault how he chooses to react to you. Or... how I chose to react to him."

Stiletto brushes the lock with her forehoof "Please Lady Virtue, before I rip these bars from their hinges."

Virtue hesitates a moment before raising the keys to the lock. "If... if that's what you really want..." She unlocks the door.

Flux looks concerned, but doesn't say anything.

Stiletto trots in slowly and lays down next to Flux and whispers: "I could not stand to be away from you this long."

Virtue frowns slightly. "P-perhaps I should leave you two. Stiletto, if you change your mind, you're free to go... of course..."

Stiletto opens one wing. "I will stay with my most kind love, Lady Virtue. I will not go until he forgives himself."

Virtue nods slowly. "I see. I'll come check up on you two later..." She turns to leave, trying to think of something to say, but fails and just lowers her head as she begins to walk away.

Flux watches Virtue start to leave.   "Um, Virtue?"

"Yes?" she asks, looking back

Stiletto looks at Flux with longing eyes "Do not feel any guilt over this."

Flux: "It's... not your fault I'm in here, either."

Virtue sighs and looks away. "Perhaps not... but I can't help but feel responsible." She is silent for a moment. "Before... before Rose was born... before I had any children, I often looked at everypony here as family. I still do. Maybe it's silly... but I felt like some of you really were my children. I can't help but feel proud when you do well... or upset or concerned when something happens to you. I just worry about you... all of you... so much..."

Stiletto tries to pull Flux under her wing "Share with me your pain, and know that I still love you both."

Flux grudgingly accepts the embrace, though he still addresses Virtue.”That's, um, why you're a good leader, Virtue. Just... try not to beat yourself up when we make mistakes..."

Virtue’s expression softens a bit to a teary eyed smile. "Thank you Flux... I'll try." She thinks back to Brook and Barley's deaths and barely contains her emotions. Finally, she says, "I... I'll be upstairs in my office if you need me. I can hear you if you call me... and I'll come check up on you in a bit..."

Stiletto snuggles close to Flux. "Lady Virtue. You are one of the strongest leaders I have ever had the pleasure to meet."

"Th-thank you..." she says sincerely, tears finally forming in her eyes. Perhaps she'd done something right at some point. "Take care, you two. I'll send some food down in a bit... and do whatever I can to get you a proper place to sleep."

Flux can't help but snuggle into Stiletto, her strength and warmth helping him forget the dreary surroundings.

Stiletto lays her head on Flux "I can sleep fine here. Flux is the best pillow ever."

Virtue forms a small smile, nods and heads upstairs.

Flux nuzzles Stiletto, quietly chuckling."I don't think you quite understand how a punishment is supposed to work, my Beautiful One." Flux says, smiling.

"In my homeland, there is only redemption my kindest love."

"I don't think I'll feel very redeemed until either Glaive forgives me or my two months are up..."

Stiletto nuzzles Flux' mane. "One or the other."

The sight of Granite concussing himself made Jaxler rather depressed, now he had to get both himself and Granite over to the hospital. Jaxler ignored the pain in his leg long enough for him to walk over to where Granite and the walking stick laid. After balancing Granite on his back he used the stick as a makeshift crutch and started walking over to the hospital.

My eyes open as I notice I'm on Jaxler's back. "Hey Jaxler I got the stick..." I say, yawning afterwards. "How much farther is the hospital?" I yawn again, "How long have I been out?"

[jaxler]

"You've been out for a few minutes and the hospital is a few minutes away. You kinda gave yourself a concussion so I decided to bring you to the hospital."

"Great. Hey Jaxler, I'm sorry I shot you in the knee with your own crossbow, then broke your own crossbow in an attempt to save you from drowning, even though I caused that, too. I am not sorry, however, for stealing your crossbow. I mean, you let a foal steal your most prized possession. And you're a guard too! Oh man Partisan would give you so much crap if he heard about this!"

Kat had a good rest today. Everything was going just fine, except maybe for Flux getting arrested, but that's not too bad. At least, not while she's going to be the one doing the guarding. Looking forward to seeing him again, she steps down the stairs that lead to the cells. "Good morning Flux!" she chirps out cheerfully, then stopped right at her tracks when she sees another pony inside the cell with Flux... she looks like... "Stiletto?" Wait, something clearly isn't adding up here. "What are you doing in there?"

Flux groggily opens an eye. "...Sleeping?"

Stiletto smiles at Kat. "Being Flux’s bed," she teases.

Kat raises an eyebrow from the answer. Somehow, she's not surprised by it at all. "Oh.. kay?"

Flux yawns wide, then opens his eyes to give Kat a smile.

Stiletto nuzzles Flux's mane. "I feel that I should be here. I can not forgive my actions until my most kind love forgives himself."

Kat beams both of them a smile as she moves over to her usual spot in front of the door and sits down on her rump, facing them. "So you asked baroness Virtue if you could also be locked up as well. Right?"

Flux grumbles a bit. "I still don't think she should be in here, even if she /is/ an amazing bed..."

Stiletto nods. "Yes I did. You know me well my love. I will be here with my kindest love until he is free. I would probably be here even if I had not acted so disdainfully to Glaive. This cell is too cold for one pony."

Kat can only smile at Stiletto's sweetness. "Well.. it's your choice I guess. At least now I get to see you as much as I gets to see Flux!"

Flux blushes a bit as the two mares talk.

"Um... thank you. Both of you. I... don't know if I'd make it without you."

Stiletto holds out a forehoof to Kat and cuddles Flux with her wing. "We love one another. It makes us stronger together. We can face anything this way."

Kat smiles and holds onto Stiletto's forehoof with both of her forehooves, wishing she could just be in there with them.. which she could, having the key to the cell and all. "Anything that one pony can't face alone."

Flux wiggles forward to add his own hoof, smiling at Stiletto and Kat. "We can face, um, anything, if we're together."

Stiletto looks lovingly at the ponies that share her life. "I will be by your sides any time I can. Even if I have to lift this whole community and build the sister paradise with my own hooves."

Kat couldn't help but to continue her smile. "not only you. but us as well."

Flux nods. "Us as well."

Stiletto kisses Flux. "Thank you, your love means more to me then can be explained with words. When we are free again, we should throw a party, with singing and dancing and good food and drink."

Kat lets herself get lost in dreamy thoughts for a little "Mm.. that would be nice."

Flux smiles at the thought of a party. "That /does/ sound nice..."

Stiletto swooshes her tail about. "Will you play some music there Flux, I have some songs from my uncle Harpsichord that I would like the community to hear."

"I... yes. Um, I think I've finally, uh, gotten good enough to play for... for everypony." Flux smiles warmly at Stiletto and Kat. "And I think I can, uh, handle the crowd with you two there."

Kat perks her ears up slightly. "Oohh, Flux playing the music for us? that's going to be great!"

Stiletto looks around the cell "Do you think maybe, Falcata might want to play to?"

Flux sighs heavily. "I don't know..."

Stiletto tries to comfort Flux with her wing. "She is a strong mare Flux, stronger than Glaive knows. She will not just give up because he is mad at her teacher."

Flux doesn't look too convinced. "That's... what I'm afraid of..."

Kat rubs her chin with a hoof as she ponders for a little. "I still don't get about surrendering."

Stiletto gives them both an odd look "What do you mean my loves?"

Kat tilts her head; she isn't sure if Stiletto is asking her or Flux.

"Um... Falcata and Glaive are so good together. I... don't want to, uh, drive them away from each other by making them fight..."
Stiletto nods. "If he makes her happy, it is all that matters... I umm actually had a song in mind for her to sing to him."

Kat remembers something that she was going to ask. "Oh! by the way, are you two hungry yet?"

Stiletto rubs her stomach. "Famished actually."

Flux nods in agreement.

Kat tilts her head ever so slightly. "so.. that's another word for hungry. Right?" she asks for confirmation.

Flux smiles at Kat and nods.

Stiletto nods. "Yes, I like the more formal words, they sound less rude to me."

Kat smiles and nods as she gets up. "Alright! want anything in particular?"

"Um, whatever sounds good, please."

Stiletto looks at her chest. "Is there any forgotten beast meat left?"

"Hmm.. I'll check."

Stiletto smiles "Bring me some wine and I can cook it right here."

Kat is as surprised as she is amazed by Stiletto's words about cooking in a jail cell. "Ooohh? now that's going to be something interesting to see."

"Well, I've been sewn back together after being slapped around by a cave ogre so, a lowly knee injury really doesn't compare And as for Partisan. I Don't think he'd get too angry at me for having my crossbow stolen. In fact last time I checked he called me his 'partner' and seeing how he still lets me be second in command after all the shit I pull, I really doubt he'd get too pissed.

My ears perk up, "Wait, what did you say about a cave ogre?"

[jaxler]

"Oh, a couple months ago after the caravan incident I had to save Flux from a Cave ogre and a flock of giant cave swallows, would ya like to hear the story?"

[L1wW]

"Yes, please! And don't even think about sparing me the gory, gruesome details!"

[jaxler]

"Well, one day I woke up in the mines with a hang over, and I started wondering the tunnels looking for a way out when I ran into flux, who was looking for new metal veins. then Flux asked me to follow him into the caves in case any monsters show up and I said yes. once we worked our way into the caves Flux started scanning the walls of the place looking for ore, when out of nowhere a huge sixteen foot tall behemoth came out and started charging me and Flux. I noted the brute's charge and fired a bolt at the monstrosity but to my surprise the sound of the crossbow firing echoed through the caves and enraged a flock of more than half a dozen giant cave swallows. So, knowing that I was pretty much screwed at this point and that odds were that ether me or flux or both of us where going to die down in the caves, I told Flux to run while I slowed down the monsters. so I flew into the air and fired off all my bolts in order to grab the creatures attentions, and in the process I killed two swallows and pelted the ogre with bolts. this however, left me surrounded by five cave swallows, a pissed off cave ogre, and without a single bolt. Now the first cave swallow of the five went down pretty easy after I charged it and smashed its brains in with my crossbow, but the second one was more difficult. I was flying toward the damned thing when it somehow managed to cut my leg a few seconds before I could bash the things head in. I went in to attack another swallow when...      The cave ogre picked up a half ton of earth and flung it at me. The damned bastard broke my wing in 20 different places and to make things worse, I fell twentyish feet and broke both my front legs and I dropped my weapon. I then forced myself to stand up completely ignoring the pain when the huge ogre walked up to me and slammed me into the nearest wall breaking 3 of my ribs, one of which tore my lung. As I laid in a corner coughing up blood I still managed to spit out the words 'buck off' to the ogre. The ogre laughed at this but just as he was about to mangle me further... uh... erm...

I kinda blacked out and woke up on an operating table, if ya want the rest of the story ya might want to ask Flux or uh...  stiletto"

"Wow, you took that ogre on despite it being at least twenty times bigger and stronger than you! That must take courage! But, uh, what was that last part? You said 'talk to Flux or' and then you muttered something after that..."

[jaxler]

"well, erm... Stiletto Kinda had to decapitate the Ogre and drag me off to the hospital..."

"Stiletto? Okay, so an alicorn killed the ogre and helped you to the hospital. What's so bad or embarrassing about that?"

[jaxler]

"Well it is embarrassing, though I doubt ponies will think lesser of me. It still kinda makes me feel demoralized and and ashamed that I needed an alicorn to save me."
