It's funny, I was just thinking that the thread was going places Toady probably wouldn't like.

I'm going to miss the pony discussion (the other parts anyway), but I can see Toady's point I suppose.  It seems that the fandom drifts in this direction pretty much everywhere, so if another thread is made, it's just a matter of time until it goes sour again.

I just hope this thread stays up long enough most of the people interested can head over. Thank god, is all I can say, it was getting that I really had no interest in reading the thread anymore.

I assume the ban only applies to the general discussion board, at least, right?  I was planning on starting a thread about a pony mod fort in the stories board and it would suck if that wasn't permitted now.  :(

Huh. I definitely don't mind the My Little Ponies threads being locked and banned from now on, but I don't really know about closing down all of General Discussion. It is Toady's forum however, and completely his decision. Sad it had to come to this.

Unless I somehow misread what toady said or he changes his mind and the forum isn't/doesn't get locked or deleted.

There wasn't any rape fiction. We were just discussing tags, and apparently there was the chance that someone was going to have a fic with rape in it.

Wasn't there some with the Warhammer crossover? At that point, it doesn't really seem out of place. And I don't think it was explicit. But it still didn't belong in the thread, and I'm glad that stuff has its own area on the new forum.
