When i try to put a wood stockpile down, none of my dwarves will hual wood to the stockpile, hualing is on and the doors are unlocked, it is temperate to

Is there anything else in the stockpile space? Like mined stones?

in the second picture i couldnt really see if it was an active wood stockpile. wood there looks greyed out to me, but it should be white

It could be blocked by hidden stones, look at the space with (k) to make sure it isn't. Items can be hidden using (d)->(b)->(h), then selecting an area, and unhidden with (d)->(b)->(H).

Those screen shots don't show the stockpile settings, you access those by using (q) over the stockpile and then (s).
