Some more suggestions that will probably be shot down immediately:

- Coins. There's something about them that prevents them from doing any damage when thrown, right? Or can they be used as a melee weapon?

- Beards

melt the coins and reforge them into weapon and if they masterwork the guy or girl who made them might go mad

fishing(there are no rods in the game so what else could a dwarf use that they all use)

You were planning to have a 15 year old magical girl kill Witches by drinking them under the table!? It's original, at least.

I would use the elf as ambush bait.

Nicknames: Name everybody the same thing, accidentally draft the wrong dwarves, send them at a siege, they die and their friends hulk out.
Nicknames - use true type view and crash game

Cage traps immobilize, not kill. If anything, they prevent immediate death.

Yeah well you see just because something doesn't kill a guy doesn't mean it's a weapon right? That's like saying pepper spray ain't a weapon because it ain't lethal. Now you can still pepperspray a guy or catch him in a cage and then he'll be defenseless and you can do anything.

Also if you use a cagetrap to catch a carp then it's gonna die. It air-drowns inside the cage immediately and it doesn't matter if there's water around it. I've tried it. Maybe if you used a terrarium in the trap but I wouldn't hold my breath.

I already stated how cage traps can be used to kill, and that was floating them over a volcano.

I think these are the only winners so far:

- Water mist
- Crossbow bolt remains
- Gods/goddesses (might change in the next release)

Mist leaves a water covering - goes back to that evaporation bug

Bolt Remains... With wood bolts/arrows they'll burn. Metal bolts... euh... we'll think of something.

To DZA:

Anything that can be held by an adventurer can be weaponized. Large gems included.

Goddamn it...

Statues.

Empty stockpile.

Empty pasture.

Dirt road.

Melancholy.

Obsidian(the month, not the material).

An entire civilization.

Burn wooden ones, and that satisfies the argument.

Empty stockpile can only be placed on floor. Use floor as bull's eye for goblin "darts".

See above. Can burn grass/moss as well.

Smash someone into it.

Let Urist McEmo die and cause tantrums. Urist McEmo can also be Urist McAmbushDetecter.

Months aren't actual things, but you can let Obsidian freeze goblins to death.

Bay12ers, I have a challenge for you. Can you think of anything that CANNOT be weaponized? After thinking of a weaponization method, think up some other seemingly peaceful thing.

Months may not be actual objects, but they are something that exists in dwarf fortress. And it appears that they cannot, in fact, be weaponized.

On the contrary, every third one or so involves horrible amounts of death and destruction in most of my forts.

Stockpiles can also be placed to prevent plant growth. Can they not? That's an anti-weed weapon right there.

As for entire civilizations you can approach animal-men civilizations and capture and herd them and release them where you want. You can even micromanage and pit them against creatures that ultimately ends up making each and every one of them friendly to your cause and loyal defenders of your subjects.

As for months ... the turn of seasons? You can make seasonal traps man.

.....

Mountainhomes.

Partially constructed workshop.

Black, unmined terrain.

Plump helmet spawn.

Outpost liaison.

Bedridden dwarves.

unloaded cage traps...?

A happy thought.

(I've never played adventure mode, by the way. So I have no idea what could be used a a weapon).

I am the mountain homes. FREE CUPCAKES FOR EVERYONE, THAT'S SOCIALIST AS I'LL GO

Make out of wood, burn, Fun.

Reveal, enjoy circus parade.

Plant, use resulting crop as ignitable object.

SANITY, IS FOR THE WEAK

Miasma, anyone?

Make mechanism out of a material that burns or otherwise can scorch the surrounding people. Necro it.

Hmmm... this might be the hardest one so far. Use happy thoughts to ensure your dwarf stays happy and you can control it's squad orders, so you can in the end get kills?

Mountainhomes: Draft the migrants they send our fortress, or become the mountainhome and flood the map with magma.

Partially constructed workshop: Make it out of a flammable item. All burn. Alternatively, use it as building destroyer bait behind weapon traps.

Black, unmined terrain: You can mine upward through unrevealed slade and semi-molten rock. Create a path from the HFS to the surface in this manner.

Plump helmet spawn: All burn. Also throwing items in adventure mode.

Outpost liaison: Lock him up until he berserks.

Bedridden dwarves: Ambush bait behind a wall of weapon traps.

unloaded cage traps...: Bituminous coal mechanisms. All burn.

A happy thought: Happy thoughts from mist can occur while a dwarf is being drowned by a rapidly-flooding chamber. Alternatively, happy thoughts for commoners from really good bedrooms tends to result in unhappy thoughts for nobles - hello tantrums.

Hmmm... this might be the hardest one so far.

Not really because nobles are whiny assholes.

Ninja'd on that last one.

You are a tough opposition, DZA, but so far you're not winning.
