This is indeed a strange Dwarven civ, there is a ongoing war between them and the Dunes of hair, they have  3528 battle victories against only 51 of the centaur civ.
They lost more soldiers than the centaurs though (54750).
This war begun in in 165, we are in 564.

Wow. The most interesting Legends thing I've found is a kobold civ attacking an Elven retreat, defeating them all, and starving to death the next year.

They are dwarfy:
"Leader, we cannot eat, we cannot drink, have 1 year to live.... WHAT SHALL WE DO??"
"We will take the worst beings in the world with us."
"The forgotten beasts?"
"No, far worse."
"The titans?"
"Even worse"
"Sir, you cannot mean...."
"Yes, we will cleanse the world from the tree hugging hippies and free it from their stench. WE SHALL LIVE ON AS LEGENDS!"

My trade depot is set to flood with water at the pull of a lever.  It's deep in the tunnels with easy drainage.  I call it my "water for goods" trading policy.

Kobolds: Putting the legends in legends, since year 1. Then starving to death.

Must have been held across a chasm, then. The kobolds would clearly be able to pull the elfs in with little effort, then shoot the few that were smart enough to let go.

*PEDANTIC ENGLISH MAJOR FUN-KILLING POST ALERT*

"Rape", as a word, originally meant "to take by force." (E.G. "The Rape of the Sabine Women" is about the abduction of the women from Sabine, not the sex with them.) The current meaning of unwanted sexual contact comes from a long history of the English language attaching euphemisms to unsavory concepts, then deciding that the euphemisms are just as unsavory. So "The War of Rapes" may refer to a war where large amounts of plunder were taken, many cities were sacked, and many prisoners were seized.

That said, I prefer this explanation:
Maybe it was just slang, as opposed to actual rape.

"goddamn it guys, get your shit together! We're getting raped out there!"

Reminds me of the time I had a goblin civ called The Gates of Incest, headquartered at the dark fortress of Incestscale, and led by the evil Stozu Doomincests.
