@conservapedia  - they decided to rewrite the Bible because they are smarter than everybody in finding "liberal bias". Seriously.

There's liberal bias in the Bible? I KNEW IT! Those sneaky Christians. Should have seen that coming what with all that "love thy neighbor" crap.

It does make some of us (Christians) wince. The five percent of us who aren't right-wing...

I would be very pleased to see this country have a left-wing Christian movement. I doubt it'll happen, but it would be nice. The problem with the American Right- especially the Religious Right- is that they can pull out a version of Christianity which they consider to be the One True Way of Doing Things, which seems to do more with Ayn Rand- except for the legalism- than with Jesus Christ, and once you've got the faith card on the table the secular left-of-centers look like they have less conviction. They need to be attacked on their own soil. But I doubt it'll happen soon.

Terrible news, we just found out that jesus was actually a liberal in disguise! Have no fear America, for we have already constructed a replacement for this god-given propaganda. Presenting: Lord and Savior 2.0!
They need to be attacked on their own soil. But I doubt it'll happen soon.
Ever hear of darwin? Us conniving liberals have been up to no good on this the whole time, creating doubt in the mind of the public with facts, how dare w- ok I'm starting to get radical again I'll just shut up now because I am a total fuddy duddy when I don't get any sleep.

EDIT: Quickly, someone give me some radically stupid leftist internet crackpot sites that I can cringe at; I need to be more neutral again.

Well, doesn't "Left wing Christian" often come with "Don't involve religion in politics"?

Well, this woman claim to oppose corporate controls over free speech but has a personal vendetta going with the ACLU because the ACLU supports the rights of people she doesn't like, like pornographers and Nazis. She might be the one actual feminazi.

It's a difficult line to draw, certainly...I suppose it's just not to be a bitch about it.

im strongly averted to Christianity (i wont say my faith though), but even I think what conservapedia is doing to the Bible is just sick. To change what you claim is an absolute truth to fit your twisted political view is just sick.

The Bible is a product of the Church, not the Church a product of the Bible.

crazypedia conservapedia:

Quote
A "hate crime" is a liberal invention to try to criminalize politically incorrect attitudes, by making some crimes "worse" than others based on the views of the person committing the crime. The goal of this rewriting of criminal law is to create special advantages for those promoting a homosexual lifestyle and other favored liberal groups. The ultimate goal may be to criminalize the Bible, or at least marginalize it.

I'm pretty sure all the people fired, beaten, and killed for believing in my particular faith will argue that a hate crime is very real. Even more so since it is often done by the two larger Abrahamic faiths. (not that muslims or christians are bad people, but every group has their own crazy subsets)

I doubt conservapedia is actually written by conservatives. It's like Stephen Colbert- he's not actually conservative, but he acts like it and also like an idiot to make fun of conservatives.

Edit: It calls itself "The Trustworthy Encyclopedia." This is an alarm bell for me. Going on.

Edit: Well I do agree with it, at least, about Hate speech laws, being an advocate of free speech.

Edit: Here we go, Hate crimes page. Noone actually thinks that. Seriously.

Edit: OK, maybe it's foudned by some of the nuttier ones of us :/

Never think we all think this stuff....

Adding to my todo-list: Sign up on conservapeida (wow I am even unconsciously misspelling it :V), troll the shit out of it by writing overt and blatant parodies, and see if any of them get removed.
