hoo boy. Supplies are a mess, and not really all that much for me to do.

Urist grunted at the sad state of the fortress, "Reckon I need a fishing tool, since there be no bones or shells around, and I ain't likin the look o those supplies with more of us mouths ta feed. I'll be ready if we capture any huntin spoils."

The darker water dwarf stroked his beard for a moment considering, "Might wanna think about gettin some traps set up, snares with the rope reed for rabbits n smaller game. Better than nothin."

So my first action will be to set up an outdoor refuse processing center. Butcher, Tanner, and Craftsdwarf(Bonecrafting specific) set up using a trio of the rocks we have mined out. Near a couple stockpiles seperated for bones, raw hides, and Leather/finished goods(for now).

MAH ANCESTORS, HELP MEH DESTROYETH THESE FISHY BASTARDS! (1-7 if he cooperates, 1-4 then 5-7 clean fish if not. Fishing will be done at same spot as previous.)

Augh, I be Urist McMacabe. Bonecrafter n animal processor. Fish ain't really mah thing. Since we don't got any bones or animals ta be butchered, figured I'd try and fish, maybe get lucky. If ye really want I can clean yer catch, but more likely ta destroy perfectly good fishes wit me guttin and de-scalin.

Gonna go with no cleaning here. If I fail while fishing worst we loose the new pole, or I just waste time. If I fail while cleaning, I can destroy what little fish stocks we have currently. I'd rather leave the cleaning to those with better chances. At least until we get better tools/workshops up.

Pah, in that case, you can make some of these fish bones a little sharp.

Do we have any bones? If we do you should make bone crafts so we have something to sell when The traders come. On a related note can we use our left over ☼ to buy stuff from the traders?

Erm... you have fishbones, but they're kinda small so you'll have to make do with that.

As stated before the Perch fishbones are of no use... Too weak to be changed into anything else and are mostly destroyed during cleaning...

I'll colour my text when rping i guess but  DEAR Sweet merciful god Hubris your accent makes my ears bleed just by reading it. Is it supposed to be scottish or just a general insult to the english language?

It's supposed to be a stereotypical Scottish accent, written as seen in the Scottish comic strips "The Broons" and "Oor Wullie"

Yeah, I assumed that fish bones wouldn't work, as per real Dwarf Fortress.

However, now that I'm thinking about it, how will animal breeding work in this game? Kind of important for my dwarf as the best source materials. Even if only puppies and kittens right now, I'm curious if there is a roll each turn, or each month, or do I need to use an action on animal training/care?

On a side note, brown bears need to breed more, my Military needs it's War Grizzlys in my current game.

Hmmmm... Looks like I don't have a system for Animals yet... As I have always said, this system is Play Tested/Built. Your Input helps it grow...
