Probably because the second miner is also a carpenter (...or was that a woodcutter?), while we've got three picks and no other skilled miners. I'd prefer he was mining, but, oh well.

Also I REALLY WANT TO MAKE THIS CLEAR!!!

This RP is based off the actual game, many of the things are translated into this, required skills to build workshops must match else penalty. making items outside of workshops, penalty. Shadow Training without skill. PENALTY...
Adwarf all your dwarf is really doing is waving the spear around like a child would. Its been rolled, no changing but still. Its not fully freeform here guys please remember that, I will accept certain things and I can be forgiving, I think I rerolled 2 of Irony's Mining rolls just from the WTH'ness of them but still came up short...
Also noticed that no-one ever read the flavour text of the Weaponshop at character creation, the tools are of really shit quality, thats why they have high Penalty Modifiers, there was a Whetstone avalible for purchuse for 1☼, a couple of those could have made things easier don't ya think, a dabbling mine could do some work without it failing so much...

ALSO... Am I being stingy on the exp gains? I am willing to boost it, but I don't want to make it too easy to level from Dabbling to novice in one week for example...

We do have four whetstones (can they be used on a pick?), and I do think exp gain could use a boost. Right now I'd have to spend at least five weeks (over a month) going from dabbling to novice, for instance. That's bad enough as is, but since later levels are even worse, that'd make it extremely slow going.

Whetstones remove the rust on the tools. Restoring them...
I will boost the EXP at the end of the month... Prob add a 0 at the end of the numbers or something. Don't know yet...

SO basically it did nothing ...
Would you learn any kind of method of using a spear by swinging it around in your backyard, with nothing to aim at but properly a tree and had no prior experience with it???

A little bit if I hadn't used it before I would become accustomed to its weight, length, balance, width, and ease of movement. I would also be able to learn which position would be best for its use, and my strength.
