She has been there for 40 years. She has almost certainly been in the cthulroom at least once and she wouldn't be dragging us towards it if she didn't think it were safe. Given what going in there is like, she probably knows either how it works or its purpose.

But considering we're now running frantically away from a recently smouldered corpse that just tried to kill us, I'd say she might not know exactly where we're going, since panic can make people lapse in judgement...

She stops and spins around. Before you can object, she places her hand over your eyes. You wait a moment.

"My hands have been away from your face for long time." You feel around your eyes... They're open, but you can't see anything.

"What did you do?!"

"Blindfold. Magic. Come." She grasps your wrist again and opens the door to the Cthulroom.

The world seems to be humming. It's very loud.

You didn't. You heard her open the door and then felt her drag you. For all you know you're stuck in the middle of the Autobauhn [mispelled?] and the humming is cars.

Or maybe you just assumed she dragged you in because you had to walk forward into where there used to be a door. Inference, you see, is a powerful thing.
