That strikes you as some fundaqmentally flawed logic but you check the Blood Column Room anyways.

As before, it's completely empty, save for a stain on the floor and a stain on the roof. Closer inspection reveals a odd sort of struggle. You call on every bit of knowledge CSI has taught you.

You have no idea what happened in here.

You turn around to find Miss Nyet staring at you blankly from the doorway. Deep midnight hair clashes somewhat with the faded pastel of her hospital dress. Her eyes are sunken with pain and remorse, and her face is gaunt and pale. She looks like a ghost, to be honest, and one that's maybe been missing meals. She looks at your teddy bear like it's something alien.

"Vy prinesli mne moĭ medvedʹ." She says. Her voice is scratchy and horse from crying. The way she says it makes her sound like someone who gave up hope of kindness long, long ago.

"Yeah." You say. "Bear. Is this yours?" You toss it at her lightly. She doesn't move, and the bear drops right at her feet. She keeps staring at it like it's come back from the dead.

"Da." She hesitantly picks the bear up. After looking at it for a while, she starts to cry silently and clutches it to her chest, cradling it like a baby.

You feel awkward.

OH crap, Google says that was her bear. Don't approach her. Let her approach you... Unless she moves away from the doorway. Oddly, I think we should stay with her, the hallways seem more ominous now and... More threatening than this woman. The lesser of two dangers I guess. Perhaps we could wait by her, until she feels comfortable to talk to us some more?

You break the silence. "So, do you have a name?"

She presses the grimy bear to her face. "Nova odin tridtsatʹ tri."

"Huh?"

"One thirty...three?" She nuzzles the bear slightly. She's looking far happier now; you wonder what stopped her from taking the bear with her.

"That's a name?"

"That is one they give me." She says haltingly. Her english isn't very good.

"Alright, Nova it is. Is it okay if I ask you some questions?"

"Questions? Da. Questions good."

You have a chance to find things out, but you're not sure how long. Better get the important things out of the way.

[Loud Whispers]

I'm going to stay out of this one, mainly because I can't think of any worthwhile questions right now ... Beyond... Nevermind.

You blink. "The U.S.S.R dissolved almost twenty years ago."

Nova looks shocked. You wonder how long she's been down here. "Gone? Gone? Da! Oni ushli, i ya vyzhil ! Etoschastlivyĭ denʹ!" She smiles and throws herself at you in a giant hug. She feels... not as frail as you'd think. "This is Wonderful news. Thank you, amerikanskiĭ, Thank you!" She squeals happily.

It takes it a couple second for the implications to sink in.

"What year? How long have I been down here?" She says. It's obvious she knows and dreads the answer.

Compassion, Empathy.

Be prepared to show these things if it's apparent that she requires them.
Be strong but unthreatening, your body language will say as much as your words do.
Be confident but not arrogant - even if you have no plan, even if you have no idea, don't panic.

If you show yourself to be trustworthy, somebody she can believe in, then in time she may prove to be somebody you can count upon.

Don't let your guard down however, you're in an unfamiliar place and nothing's adding up.

It's entirely possible that the syringe you found was used on you.
Do you have any marks consistant with having been injected?

Ask Miss Nova when 'They' were last seen by her.
Remember, unless she proves contrary, she's deserving of the same kind of respect that you would give another person

Does she shy from eye contact or show other nervous traits?

Of course she looks nervous, she's been stuck down here for fourty years. You'd be nervous too! Especially since this place is giving creepy vibes out the wazoo.

She bites her lip, obviously struggling to think. "I... Do not know. Have not eaten for long time. Very long time."
