Somewhere between keeping an eye on mIRC, DF, winamp and IE, DF will go missing from the taskbar. It usually happens when I am playing DF while also doing two of those other three. If I leave DF paused or running while looking at something else and do not go back to DF after 30 seconds or so, it will dissapear from the taskbar. The game doesn't actually go away, but I have to minimize/move whatever I'm doing to click on the game again, at which point it returns to the taskbar.

It doesn't always do this; it seems to depend on the combination of programs layed out in the taskbar. So far, from left to right, having IE, DF, and mIRC in a row will make DF dissapear as I read a web page. It's almost like a mini-game, except the prize is to annoy me.

This is all with the current version, of course.

I had it disappear from the taskbar and the screen once(nothing else was on the screen), then I checked ctrl alt del and it was still running, so I told it to bring it to the front and it reappeared... It only happened once and only with the current version...

First, hit ALT+TAB to switch between apps, easier than moving stuff to find the DF window when this happens.

I have seen this A LOT, ONLY on XP Pro (I only have played on 2kpro and XPpro). It seems to happen when another application steals focus (which XP is NOTORIOUS for).

I just wish this was a togglable option, then NOBODY would know I was playing at work!

I've seen it with the old Jan 18 version, and both the new version and the patched version.

Yeah this bug hasn't happened under Wine yet. I do recall it happening a few times with Windows XP. Like mentioned it mostly happened when I was switching around applications (especially when DF is just starting up).

I see it happen frequently on XP Home, but since half the time I use alt-tab to switch apps anyways, it doesn't bother me too much.

Before I made the "switch" to Ubuntu, I had this happen a lot when surfing the web and playing DF at the same time... Huh.
