Make a backup of the region folder in question first if you don't want to lose your progress! Then abandon the fort, start a new game with that region in Legends mode and select "export map/gen info". That will create some files in the main DF folder, including one for the world gen parameters.

Dig out all your rooms in the canyon cliffs, and have them connected mainly by bridges and constructed floors running along the cliff face.

Yeah that would be neat and finally a good use for windows. Now if there was a way to fix crystal glass, I could make quite a lot of them with all these rock crystals lying about.
And I'd have to build a lot of smaller bridges anyway... seeing as the canyon is fairly deep, it would take the dwarves a long while to walk beneath it to reach another island. I plan on making most of the parts somewhat independent to limit the pathing issues.

@korva: Thank you.

Hmm, too bad the map practically ends at z level 96 only ~50 levels below the surface... semi molten rock all the way (apart from a candy store). The good thing is: magma is no problem - the bad thing is: I dont have anything to smelt. Apart from galena, gold and cassiterite I havent found any ores yet. I had hoped to find hematite in an i. extrusive layer further down below the magma sea, but obviously there wont be such a layer with the SMR so far up.
Havent used dfreveal to check the top levels yet, but probe mining 1/3 of a whole layer only showed tons of gypsum and dolomite. Seems like I will have to rely on goblin caravans to trade me some iron for a couple of silver bolts.

4 rivers...

Normally my embarks only have to worry about ever putting out a single unskilled dwarf in full iron plate armor and a long sword to be stationed at the bridge on our river.

Four would be a challenge. Considering that I'm losing de-limbing the dwarf on every siege.
