Yes, yes it does. I was in a rush, let me break down more clearly what happened, in order.
1. Allied with Ulm, I attacked the Palatinate (forged claim) just after Bohemia and Burgundy forced it to drop all of its treaties. Bohemia still tried to defend it, but Austria was beating it to death and they only sent a few thousand troops. (Somehow, the Palatinate was the alliance leader there, most likely due to Bohemia's incredible War Exhaustion.) Took all the non-capital provinces. Forced a Union.
2. I sat around for a while, throwing around diplomats to get Royal Marriages where I could, Alliances where I couldn't get RMs. Along with Baden, Wurttemburg, and Trier, we defeated Switzerland. I did not inherit Switzerland, I don't know why I said that. I merely conquered a large part of it.
3. Savoy had no heir and had just collapsed, so I swooped in to enforce my claim on their throne. A short war between my alliance and the Swiss-Genoese alliance occurred, and I took a few more Swiss provinces as well as enforcing a Union with Savoy. (And taking some land of course, because who cares about that Infamy stuff, anyway?)
4. Wurttemburg's ruler dies without an heir. They hadn't answered my call in the last war, so I get medieval on them. Meanwhile, Norway has almost completely destroyed Sweden, with Novgorod forcing them to release Finland in another war. Regardless, they join in, though they are half-way across the continent. I take a while to procure military access through all the various countries to get there, occupy their three provinces, and Unionize them.
5. Truce with Switzerland ends. Annexation. The shattered remains of France (after being nearly annihilated in the French Reconquest of Calais by England, Burgundy, and Portugal) declare war on me due to my high infamy. I throw off their feeble attempt to destroy me, occupy both of their provinces, and Unionize.
6. Some time later, my king dies, and is succeeded by the heir. Savoy and the Palatinate are incorporated. He lasts for mere months, and is succeeded by his heir. Sweden and Wurttemburg are incorporated. He dies after only a few weeks of rule, leaving the kingdom to an heirless 18-year-old. At this point, I'm gaining oodles per year from unlawful territory (In addition to my 60 or so.), so Bohemia gets all up in my grill. I beat their armies back enough for white peace, but stability must be gained.
Also, I found that inherited countries grant cores in the same culture group (or just in the HRE), so I have some more cores than I thought.
And now I may have to restart. My king died heirless, and now I'm the junior partner in a union with England. It would be the worst sort of irony if they inherited me. Heck, I'll probably restart anyway. Unions are broken as hell, if you're lucky.
