Zack knew instantly that screech was from the undead. "Dammit Derm!"
Flee with Hilda to the back of the building. Pray to the gods for the power to dispel undead/necromancy!

We're five turns in and Gods are already getting involved?!

Turn 5 - Light of Lumithos
Tame the beast.
(...) "Bow down to your creator, creature of the void!" ...The monstrosity doesn't slow down.
Flee! To the back of the building, near an exit. Search for some music on the radio and perform my post-fleeing warm-down and stretch routine with my pain-poms.
(...) You run to the back door of the tavern and burst through! Actually that was the front door and now you're in the path of the rampaging abomination.
Flee with Hilda to the back of the building. Pray to the gods for the power to dispel undead/necromancy!
(...) It was that despicable necromancer! You knew something like this would happen, his kind are nothing but trouble! You run to the back of the tavern cellar and crouch in the dim light, clasping your hands in prayer.
"O my Lord, I call upon thee! Lumithos! God of Light! Give me the power to stop the forces of darkness!"

HARK! Do not fear mortal, thou art in the presence of the Light of Salvation. Be thee righteous of heart? Dost thou wisheth to become a vessel of my power?!

"Yes, Milord."

To wield the Holy Light of Lumithos, thou must swear thyself utterly to it. Thou must taketh an oath to uphold the Virtues Nine!

"Look, you know what, I already know the virtues, so if we could just-"

Witness, mortal, the power of Lumithos!

The ceiling of the cellar blows apart as a beam of holy light penetrates the roof of the tavern! Golden light surrounds you, flowing through and becoming one with your being. You rise up, a disciple of Lumithos.
Attempt to hide on top of the roof.
(...) You crouch down on the roof, holding down your hat. The abomination doesn't appear to have seen you. Suddenly, a massive bolt of pure light slams through the roof and sprays debris in every direction!
"For the love of Nist Akath, what now?!"
You spin around and approach it. A foot-wide yellow beam of what appears to be condensed light seems to have shot down from the heavens into the tavern. You can faintly hear a voice of booming authority, which seems to come from every direction at once. Then, all at once, the light ceases and you hear a soft hum below.
Run outside.
(...) You run outside from outside. Congratulations. The hulking abomination runs straight at you!

(ATT) (DEF) The abomination swings at James's head, and he leans right into the attack! The creature slices him across the chest and bitch slaps him across the face, sending him flying into a pile of barrels and leaving large gashes on his head and chest!

(ATT) (DEF) The abomination continues charging forward, biting at Hilda! She fakes it out at the last second, however, diving to the side!

(ATT) (DEF) At last, the monstrosity reaches Derm and tries to ram straight into him! He too dodges to the side however, taunting the creature in a lost tongue of the ancients. Fntaaag'tna!

Siphon off and reabsorb the necromantic power animating the thing.

Look for a sharp tool or weapon. If one is located, use grappling hook and lodge it into the back of the beast. Once done, pull.

((Damn. My instincts are to flee for the third turn in a row, but I don't think I should. But then this is an undead monstrosity, and we now have two specialists to deal with that kind of thing.))

Distract the beast by running round it in tight red catsuit powered circles, agilely dodging and leaping out of the way of its blows and the disastrous effects of Derm and Zack's attempts to subdue it. Perhaps wave pain-poms a bit to enhance my routine.

((Well it's that or something rash again.))

...God damn.

Turn 6 - You're All Screwed
Siphon off and reabsorb the necromantic power animating the thing.
(...) The beast follows you around the edge of the building, out of sight of the others. You absorb the necromantic energy from the abomination, feeling it flow through your veins. Too late do you realize that pumping yourself full of necromantic energy isn't the best idea you've ever had. The creature collapses into a heap of flesh, just as you bulge out into a hideous abomination and again absorb the corpses of the Nazi Guardsmen!

You round the corner of the building, screeching and writhing in unbelievable pain as your former friends close in on you. You feel an irresistible urge to kill them all, and there's no telling how long you can hold out!

An air raid siren blares from far away, and soldiers begin mobilizing to your position!

attempt to kick it in the lower regions.
(...) You jump down from the roof, breaking your leg on the hard cobblestone! Smooth move.
Look for a sharp tool or weapon. If one is located, use grappling hook and lodge it into the back of the beast. Once done, pull.
(...) You're unable to find a sharp weapon, so you just toss the grappling hook by itself. The grappling hook flies through the air, wrapping itself firmly around Hilda's ankle! You then pull, yanking her off her feet.
Distract the beast by running round it in tight red catsuit powered circles, agilely dodging and leaping out of the way of its blows and the disastrous effects of Derm and Zack's attempts to subdue it. Perhaps wave pain-poms a bit to enhance my routine.
(...) Derm is nowhere to be seen, so you attempt to distract the beast to buy time by dancing in an extremely goofy and flamboyant manner. The beast seems to take notice of you! Suddenly, something wraps around your ankle and pulls you off your feet!
Get out of the cellar and attack that thing!
(ATT)

The front of the tavern blows apart, spraying the area with shrapnel!
(DERM) Several chunks of wood slice the Dermbomination up, causing it to topple over in pain!
(HILDA) A chunk of brick smacks Hilda in the head, cutting a large gash in her temple!
(FEKOD) A huge chunk of metal flies directly at Fekod, slicing his left arm clean off!
(JAMES) James just manages to leap out of the way of the shrapnel and duck for cover behind some barrels!

You emerge from the front of the tavern, condensed beams of light crackling over the surface of your body as you hover toward the creature of darkness.

"DIE MONSTER! YOU DON'T BELONG IN THIS WORLD! THE LIGHT OF LUMITHOS COMPELS YOU!!"

Holy laz0rs shoot from your very being and engulf the monster as the whole area is surrounded by a blinding, unearthly light! The darkness melts away, and a human form begins to emerge from the twisted mass of flesh as the twisted bodies of the Nazi Guardsmen slough off like a molting skin. Derm's naked, battered body falls to the ground, cleansed of the dark being inhabiting it.

You can hear the marching soldiers getting closer!

Grab my crap, re clothe myself, and flip through the book for a good offensive spell.

"Chaps! We need to get to cover and get patched up. And we need to get going! We haven't spanked a single Steam Nazi yet! Come on boys!"

Search the nearby area for entrances into the Steam Nazi Death Cloud, and try at least to find some ambush worthy cover if we can't find a way in. Failing that, pray to the gods for the power of invisibility.

Scavenge anything that could be used as a weapon and follow the group. Hide our tracks...As much as that is possible.
