Clean up the code; tie up all the loose ends and release 0.31.26 already! I can't wait till next year!
Yes, we can.
We can, Urist McChristmas here can't.

And on the (off)topic of Skyrim, I'll wait until it's price drops on Steam and a GOTY-edition is available.
I like how it's just a given that there will be a Game of The Year edition.

Entitled much?   Dude, if a long interval between releases bothers you that much, you have far more serious problems.

Diso Faintpuzzles was born in 120.  Although accounts vary it is universally agreed that Diso was chosen by fate as the vanguard of destiny.

In the early spring of 143 Diso began wandering the wilds.

In the early spring of 143 Diso starved to death in the Horn of Striking.

And causes the same effect that will happen on 11.11. on my class, when four students will be "sick" with "Skyrim Fever"?

Skyrim cutting into Dwarf Fortress time? Laughable, Daggerfall was the last TES title with any real ambition. What's worse... Morrowind and Oblivion still felt stilted and artificial despite ditching the enormous scale and procedural generation.

Morrowind had huge design flaws, some of which could be partially fixed with mods. Except, mods made the game even more unstable.

Very much fun, but nowhere near perfect.

Unstable? In all my time playing morrowind, the game only crashed about 10 times. And to be fair the ease of modding is what made morrowind such a fun game :T

Morrowind has a lot of major flaws, but I still love it.
Oblivion is good too, but it has very little of Morrowind's amazing atmosphere and has a host of other problems (especially the horrible unique item scaling mechanic which makes you actually afraid of getting cool stuff, which is antithetical to an RPG).

I am generally enthusiastic for Skyrim (though I am unsure what to think about the lack of spellmaking in exchange for more varied offensive spells), but I am also in the group that is too stingy to buy it until the price has dropped. (In the same vein, I haven't even played Portal 2 yet.)

I could be born, kidnapped by a monster of the night, transformed, get in 30 fights and hunt down all of the forgotten beasts, kill all the megabeasts, get transformed back, live a full life, die, be back from necromancy, life a full undead life, and then die again, and then the next version would have been released :D

Just get yourself cryogenically frozen and be done with it... You could simply skip to until DF 1.0 is out.

Hey it's this thread.

Releasing on a holiday would be fun. But then I'd be glued to the computer screen for the whole holiday.
