Round Three- Turn Thirteen
Oh right, this is PvP



Well since I'm close to it i guess i shall

Punch the horse in the face

First combat rule of bay 12 games if at first you don't succeed do something ridiculous because that just might work

Swords didn't work. Magic didn't work. Time to try MANLINESS. Bob punches at the horse's face, [6]-3vs[1] and cracks it across the jaw! The punch deals TWO damage and imposes a -2 to attack and dodge until the end of fifteen!

Slash the Orc Again

[5]vs[6] Spartan strikes at the Orc Captain with his blessed shortsword, but the shot is parried!

Sneak after adwarf and stab him in the back! Then use the slender wand on him.

Theodolus sneaks after the oblivious adwarf into room 80, [3] but adwarf senses him with his Amulet of ESP! Theodolus stabs with the Poisoned Dagger, [6]vs[2], dealing FOUR DAMAGE and poisoning the shit out of adwarf!

For his next act, Theodolus zaps the slender wand at adwarf! [2] Surprisingly, rather than a beam or missile, there is a flash of light and a monster appears! This is a wand of Create Monster!

Specifically, the monster is a Shrieker- a fungus-like creature that does not attack. However, it shrieks constantly, waking nearby monsters and, on a 6, summoning as though by the spell Create Monster! The only difference is that, if it rolls a 1 on that Create Monster check, a Purple Wyrm is attracted (Shriekers being the favored prey of Purple Wyrms.) You do not want to fight a Purple Wyrm.

Cast protection, then try to sneak to 36. If I'm seen, run to 36. If I'm forced to fight, then force bolt the orc twice.
If I make it, then head west, watching for traps.


[2] Bulldog casts Protection, but the spell fizzles! Moving south, [6] he successfully sneaks past the Orc (who is currently distracted by combat with Spartan anyhow) and south into 36! [5] Without breaking stride, he continues West into 94, and finds the STAIRS DOWN!

[1] adwarf convulses as the poison courses through his veins, dealing TWO DAMAGE!

Aggravated Monsters

The Gas Spore nudges Spartan as Bulldog sneaks by. And after. And before, really.

The Orcish Captain in room 36 slashes at Spartan! [4]-1vs[3] [1] Spartan jumps away from the first slash, and as the Captain overextends for his second swing Spartan counterstrikes! [3]vs[1] Spartan slices the Orc Captain's leg, dealing TWO damage and imposing a -1 penalty to dodge until the end of turn 15!

The pony in 9 kicks at Bob in rage and confusion, [3]-2vs[6] but Bob easily avoids the blow! The pony bites, [5]-2-1vs[4] but completely misses!

The shrieker at 80 shrieks! [1] It isn't very loud, though.

I've heard back from adwarf, apparently his Internet access has been spotty, so we'll be moving on without him (assuming he doesn't just get shanked this turn anyway :P)

So, we're waiting on Theodolus, and Draignean will be spawning end of next turn.

Bob follows up on his advantage, punching the pony! [6]vs[4]-2 He strikes the pony in the head, shattering the skull and jamming the skull into the brain, tearing the brain!

The pony has been struck down! Bob gets his TWO POINTS! Now he just needs to figure out how to get out of here...

[6] Bulldog casts Protection, and the spell overcharges! He gets +2 to dodge and -1 attack until the end of next turn!

Carefully, Bulldog descends the stairs. He emerges in a broad, natural cavern. There is nothing here apart from another set of Up stairs. There are exits to the NE, NW, SE, and SW.

Suddenly, there is a flash of light, and the Wizard of Yendor appears! "Thieves! Vandals! Intruders! You shall not pass!"

Spartan stabs at the Orc, [4]vs[4]-1, hitting for ONE damage!

Stab adwarf again, then kill the damn shrieker.

Theodolus stabs adwarf again, [4]vs[2], dealing TWO DAMAGE! With any luck, he'll drop dead of poison!

Theodolus turns his attention to the shrieker, [5]-1vs[4] but his slash is wild! Carefully, he tries again, [6]-2vs[4] but the Shrieker somehow manages to dodge! What the hell.

The Wizard Stirs

The Wizard of Yendor casts a spell, [5] and suddenly disappears!


Aggravated Monsters

The Gas Spore nudges Spartan in room 69.

The Orc Captain has been struck down! Spartan earns THREE POINTS!

The shrieker at 80 shrieks! [3] It's annoying, but bearable.

A new challenger has entered the arena!

DRAIGNEAN appears in room 93! He clutches a tome of Magic Missile, a potent spell that can spawn multiple projectiles- but beware, they might bounce!

In room 93 there are three Brown Molds- two of them are blocking the exit to the East, and one is on the ceiling. There is an open Spiked Pit trap here. There is another exit North.
