All parts of an animal are as big as the creature?
« on: November 08, 2011, 05:02:57 pm »

Apparently, a single Giraffe Hair bunch is enough to overflow a farmer's workshop entirely. I don't know if this is a bug or not, but I get the feel that it should be able to handle more than the hair of one giraffe. Is it because the hair is from a Giraffe, it makes it huge?

Known bug (bug #231 - Body parts from large creatures (bones, meat, leather, tusks, etc) slow workshops down due to clutter)

Yeah.

When the dwarf says Giraffe hair it literally means the dwarf took the skin of the ENTIRE DAMN GIRAFFE.

yep. an entire skin to create a single boot.
either the boot is huge, or the dwarves are REALLY inefficient.
the thought of a dwarf with an enourmous shoe makes me laugh, though.

Would it look like this?

This is an artifact troll fur bed, it menaces with spikes of crundle claw.

And thus the thread sinks into the abyssithonic depths.
