Uirst McSheriff: Cow McMooMoo, Urist McAnimalDissector claims you are a vampire. What say you?
Cow: Moooo

Urist McSheriff: IT HUNGERS FOR DWARVEN BLOOD  DWARVES HUNGER FOR ITS BURGERS! KILL IT KILL IT KILL IT!

FIFY.  You know, when you think about it, we treat cows an awful lot like vampires treat us...

Vampires herd dwarves, breed them and use them for a sustainable food source?

Not happened. Yet. Someone will though. Prolly King DZA.

Hey, it's one of the only ways that will allow my vampires and dwarves to live together in harmony. You know, PEACE & LOVE.

Although, with my luck, such an endeavor will probably end up going all Daybreaker on me, and I'll end up struggling to provide enough blood for the growing vampire population while simultaneously trying my darndest to keep the dwarf cattle alive.

Free range. Underground. And Peace and Love just got significantly darker D:

Vampires don't actually need blood to survive, I think.

Really? Because that would make future management of my fortress a hell of a lot easier.

The markets are free, so much money for me, tell me, why should I care for peace and love?

Because it's hard to have legions upon legions of virtual beings unquestioningly acting out your every will, spreading your influence across the land like a plague, and working to ensure that you become the single most powerful entity in existence, when the little bastards won't cooperate with eachother.

(Love that video, by the way)

Then just have your fortress guard beat sense into your dwarves with their artifact adamantine crossbows ;P

I don't currently have any artifact adamantine crossbows in stock at the moment(or adamantine anything, for that matter). I have an artifact iron warhammer, but results may not be ideal...

Nothing too bad, I guess. It's just kind of hard for my dwarves to effectively follow commands when their brains are leaking from their bashed in skulls.

I'm not entirely sure. Honestly I would doubt it's existence if the goblins didn't seem so fond of jamming their skulls through it all the time.
