TWENTIETH
Ok, I can accept 17, or even 18 if their Birthday was recent, but this is just GOING WAY TOO FAR. This is a game meant for a group of kids to finally come of age and save their species, and its clear that the game does not choose adults. In fact, I am willing to reckon that any Adults that enter the game are destined to die.

...You're going to exclude me because I chose to use my real age as my age in a roleplaying game?

Seriously?

Didn't it used to say 15 a day or two ago?

Depending on the story it might be an issue. It's up to ShoesandHats and what he already has planned. This is based on Homestuck, but it doesn't need to be exactly the same.

EDIT: Yeah. I wouldn't have minded being 20, since I'm also 20, but whatever, the lower age is an excuse to be more immature about some things.

Fairly sure it did.

I don't see the age as being much of a huge issue. Does it really matter all that much game-wise?

Fairly sure it did.

I originally wrote it as 20, reconsidered, wrote 15. Posted. Re-reconsidered, changed back to 20.

Actually, it IS a big deal in this game. Sorry to sound like a snob, but you would understand if you read Homestuck. The fact that the players are still children is a big plot point.

That's why I said it's up to ShoesandHats. He's writing this up, which means that the story can change if he wants it to change. This may be based on Homestuck, but ultimately it's going to be his story.

I'm mostly concerned with how a 20 year old came to be friends with a bunch of tweens/teenagers.

Eh, I guess that's true. People lie about their age all the time on the internet. Sure, your character can be 20. As The Fool said, it's a story that I'm making up that's simply based heavily on Homestuck.

Yeah sure, till you consider that almost everything about Homestuck and Sburb revolves around the players being Kids >.>

Besides, is it REALLY going to kill you to make you character at leats 15 or 16? Is there REALLY going to be a difference in how you play the game? ((Game Mechanic Wise, not Plot wise))

I don't see why this is such a big deal. If Shoesandhats has a problem with my character being 20, I'll change it. Otherwise, DealWithIt.gif

I don't see why this is such a big deal

Well, if you want to know what the conflict is, Sburb (The game which Homestuck revolves around) is basically a game about a group of kids with various social flaws of varying severity and general issues that would come up if they were to grow up in the Real World. Sburb comes about and brings the end of the world via flaming Meteors. However, the kids escape a firey death through Sburb, fleeing to the Medium, the place where the game takes place. Each kid gets a World, and their own title, related to their personality and flaws. Over the course of the game, they learn to overcome their flaws. All while the game constantly tries to kill them off for real by throwing constant waves of enemies at almost every chance.

So yeah, I tend to get a little fussy over when plot conflicts like this happen. But now you understand why the fact that the players are stll kids is important.

I didn't really see any serious personality flaws in John. I didn't even know the overcoming your flaws part was in there. I assume Rose's was just being a bit uptight and a know-it-all of sorts. Kind of like Duncan.
