I do multiple reps daily with 32 and 40 pound weights. Sometimes they give me hugs.

I didn't think that counted, but mine is 28 pounds, for comparison.

My lower back and calves certainly think it counts. And in all seriousness, I have significantly more upper-body strength and bicep/tricep mass now than I did before having children.

You should put one on each leg and go for a jog.

My daughter actually tries to get me to do that. It's not so easy. She also likes to be a backpack.

My daughter is a backpack as well. Also, I know it's not easy, that's why I suggested it. :P

Also, lulz for those who haven't seen it. My daughter is training like a masochist, too. Mostly with her face, and my crappy music, though. (I'm sorry, I didn't know my phone was recording my Slacker station.)

Oh, I really, really want to be in this. Really.

Of course, I'll probably fall off the wagon in a couple weeks, but whatever.

Do what you can do, and do more.
What I thought you said. Comp112, use Vector's actual advice, since you're just starting out. I'm doing what I thought she said, because if I don't, what I can do will not be enough. It's not something to do constantly, though.

That said, the ankle weight idea is fantastic. I use a couple of 3-pound ankle weights when I'm going for a long run, and it really makes a difference running without them. (If you run longer, use lighter weights. Too much weight for too long will mess up your feet.)

I was thinking of adding in some ankle weights, but then remembered what my surgeon/doctor told me, and decided against it.

BUT! I can still use them on my arms/wrist, so I will do that.

Does anyone know of shoes that are made for running on ice? Even my best running shoes get terrible traction in the winter.

Ice skates.

Become a figure skater, Barbar.  You know you want to.

I thought that too, but then I remembered the asphalt and snow that accompanies the ice. It could be fun, though. Maybe I'll learn on of these days. I could be good at it, who knows?

Time to start doing weights again. And riding my bike again. Well, when I get a new bike, that is. I used to be extremely fit, while I couldn't run very far I'd often go on 30km (20 miles?) hikes with my father. I let my fitness lapse and it's time to work on it again! :D

Weighed in at +25 pounds of muscle since getting back this May. Approaching 130 pounds.

Still doing the old freeweight routine but added bonus yoga today.

130 pounds? You're a stringbean! Unless you're not yet an adult or are very short, that is.
I'm 82 kilograms, or roughly 180 pounds. I'm 180cm or 5'11" tall. :D

I dunno what I should do. I was always capable of riding very long distances on my bike, so I think that'd be best.
