I am pretty sure I know what johnfalcon wants to do but I still have to respect his freedom of choice.

Gimdris prepares to shoot another bowelf when she feels a light tap on his back. She quickly turns around and shoots and... nobody's there. Just as she bends down to pick her bolt up the ambusher kicks her on the ground, takes her crossbow and speaks:
"Order your men to stop attacking right now!"
"My men? Oh no I am not commanding them. They're just my friends."
"Really? You sure look like a good leader. Anyway, we have what we want from this place so if you don't want to die do not follow us! EVERYONE, RETREAT!
The elves run out of the room.
"Here's your crossbow", he throws Gimdrises crossbow on the ground and runs away.
Seeing the elves run away Urist McFacemelter decides to read his new book. He opens it and finds a note:
Dear Urist,
I know that you always wanted to be a mage so I am sending you this book where you can write all the new spells that you discover on your journey. As a special gift I also included two low level spells: fireball and heal minor wounds. I hope you like this present.
-Dad

You use your new healing spell to heal McRanger.
Months pass in Elfburned and nothing interesting happens until one day a warrior comes to your peaceful fortress. He walks up to you and asks:
"Am I talking to..."
He takes out a dusty scroll and reads:
"Gimdris Bomkeltekob, Sir Blood, Urist McRanger, Leeroy Jenkins and Urist McFacemelter?"
Gimdris steps forward and answers:
"Yes"
"I am here because my king personally ordered me to come here to collect you for his new military division. If you do not agree to come with me I am allowed to use lethal force."
He pulls out an ADAMANTINE sword.
What do you do...

First of all is it a short sword or a long sword? And I suggest the players go with him since other wise they'll end up killing each other fighting over the candy.

"Of course I will come, but first I wish to ask what we will be facing ?" replied McRanger as he puffed on a pipe.

I think the dorfs are too busy admiring the shine to check if it's a long or shortsword.

"That- you'll have to ask from the king. I have only been given orders to take you to him"

"Then I will come, but I request you put the blade up quickly before one of my companions gets teh stupid idea to try, and 'liberate' it from you." He replied swiftly, and stood up gathering his stuff

Go with the man, but gather as many arrows as possible, and take several knives if possible

"Do you think I was born yesterday? Obviously you want me to put away my sword so you could attack me off-guard"

Ooh, shiny...she wondered if he was single...

Gimdris shooked her head, and regained her composure.

"Erm, yes sir, right away sir. We ran out of real booze months ago...giant rat blood just doesn't have the same kick...

Everyone, gather whatever you can from the fort, and get ready to go with that handsome Dwarf-Man. I know I am..."

Action: Gather up whatever supplies I can find in the fortress-extra bolts maybe-and move out!

Refrain from frothing at the sight of the Adamantine and take a moment to find some cave spider silk socks before heading out.
