I like how dwarves are afraid of a rabbits but elks run away from them.... WHAT THE HELL?!?!?!

Rabbits are mean, even without getting into Monty Python. TV Tropes has two entire tropes devoted to the idea: "Killer Rabbit" (cute fuzzy things that can destroy you), and "Hair-Raising Hare" (rabbits and rabbit-relatives in particular).

Ah, Watership Down, the movie that taught any number of parents that, no, animation is not automatically for kids. Even if it has bunnies in it. Especially if it has bunnies in it. I love how the book is even more horrifying.

And seriously, bunny ferocity in battle aside, if you ever hear a rabbit scream, you will never again question that they can be terrifying. A fox cry (which can be pretty damn unsettling if you don't know what it is) has nothing on a rabbit scream.

And then there are the vorpal bunnies, of course.

I know a woman who had a rabbit as a pet. One day, she and her husband were in bed having sex and the rabbit hopped on the bed and bit the guy in the balls. Don't mess with rabbits.
