How big is the blast radius of exploding booze? - Idea

So i know that with temperature turned on, booze explodes when it gets heated enough.  I was thinking of building a mine field of sorts.

Put an individual pressure plate somewhere.
Below that put some booze
Below that make an empty chamber sealed by a flood gate.  Pressing the pressure plate lowers the gates and floods the chamber with magma.   This heats up the booze and sets off the explosion.

Thoughts?

Booze doesn't explode.  It boils.  The clouds of boiling booze don't seem to do any damage.

Real life! Come on, haven't you ever blown up a jug with alcohol? Put in a few drops, shake, hold match over it... actually don't because it's dangerous.

Alcohol vapor should be flammable. All flammable vapors have an explosive concentration. IMHO DF needs alcohol explosions, flour explosions near mills (perfectly possible if flour is at the right concentration in the air) and maybe even a way to combine the saltpeter, brimstone and charcoal into something devastatingly fun and hard to handle.

It doesnt explode?!  Something inside me just died...

Any idea how else i could make a mine field?  Is there ANYTHING that explodes/can be blown up?

Constructed floors sitting on top of supports, such that the supports are linked to nearby pressure plates - cave-ins certainly qualify as explosive.
