Started playing yesterday Deon. Looks good so far. Can't help but notice the Colt 1911 has 12 rounds to a magazine though. Is this 'cause of balance? Because I'm a bit of a realism freak and it irks me.
It's because I've decided not to make a special "Colt 1911 magazine", because then I would have to make special magazines for each type of gun and you would probably drawn in inventory. If you don't mind such complexity, I can easily make a version with separate mags for different pistols.

What I meant earlier, when I said things had been oversimplified a bit, was mainly to do with sieges:
In vanilla, when you choose to escape/engage a siege, you control your liberals in their safe house, and can wander around leading the attackers into traps and such. Here, you just go straight to a screen showing the enemies, with options to escape, fight or surrender. :-\
Unless, of course, Jonathan's version doesn't count as vanilla?

That's from the mainline/vanilla/my version. Wait out the siege and they'll come to you like you're used to -- just make sure to fortify first or you might take sniper shots for awhile. Fight early and you need to exit the safehouse. (That's why the text for escape/engage has changed.)

I had another idea later, when reading about the Waco siege. Maybe they force a raid right away, and a siege only happens if you fight them off initially. Not sure how you fight them off under that design though, so the idea isn't fully fleshed out yet.

I'd suggest that after the first day, the player is forced into the "Fight or Flight" on-site battle.  The battle plays out like normal, with the siege continuing if the players fight off all the attacker parties.

Everything else should work out fine if this is just added to the existing system.  It would also give you a chance to fix the bug where if the liberals all die while engaging the Conservatives, then the game doesn't register the defeat of the liberals as the end of the siege, which forces the player to manually surrender.  Granted, it's not a major bug or anything, but it is sort of adding salt to wound to force the player to manually surrender all their assets in order to get their safehouse back, right on the heels of losing their Elite Liberal Forces defending the location.

Sure. I can make one too, but I am too busy, so please go ahead.

Release: 0.9, mostly fixes to vanilla.

- "Women's Rights" renamed to "Gender Equality".
- Armor now properly conceals/does not conceal weapons (normal clothing conceals pistols; coats conceal SMG and sawn-off shotguns; trenchcoats conceal bigger guns).
- Minor hacking check tweaked; now it passes properly so it should be harder to hack.
- Expensive suits/dresses are less profitable; go steal some cars or something :). Once I add mints and banks it will balance it out more. Before it was "set ten people on suit making and never worry about money".

 :P Nerfing suit sell price was the first change I made to LCS, back in 2007.

I actually nerfed it to 0 profit for awhile, but later buffed it again. Alas, MUCH later a couple enterprising players figured out that they're still pretty lucrative -- especially now that your people keep making clothing passively in the background, and you can sell second-rate clothing. Those things made the strategy less annoying and less risky to pull off.

Even if they sell for material cost, you can still execute the sweatshop strategy if you rob the clothing plant for fabric. That will reduce your materials cost by half.

Actually the profit in my mod is still there, it's just twice as much (so you have to have twice more people... Lol, not for that).
