If you open it as a text file, you can change the seed number. Use large primes!

Oooh, I assumed the seed was random. This way makes more sense, though.

Here's my plan for creatures/loot:

There will be something like 128 memory spaces which will store room numbers. If you kill a monster in a room, or else loot a room, buy something, or use an artifact, that room will be listed in this set of memory spaces as "cleared out". Since many room will be empty or left untouched, you'll probably get through at least 200 something rooms before old ones start getting repopulated, which makes sense (monsters are likely to move in to claim new territory, after all).

Blame Skyrim and me having to actually work at work. I'll take a look later on.

Oh my gosh, a game within a batch file?

Posting to watch, and hoping this doesn't die.

I hope I'm no too late to step in and see what I can do to revive this game.

I'll see what I can do later today. Hopefully it's good.

EDIT:

Well, I started. Changed the menu options to numbers, but now you don't have to press ENTER after each one.
Also added clearing the screen each room so it doesn't build up a massive screen of stuff.
Game now goes to main menu instead of travel all the time.
Added systems for finding hunger/thirst, and takes away health if you are too thirsty or too hungry.

Added system for searching places for items, and picking them up. Also added inventory, though interface is not user-friendly.

PM me if you want the file.

Wow, I'm not sure how you did inventory, yes, please send me a copy of that and if you're alright with it, I'll put it in the OP.

Make a text file, save it as ".bat".
Of course, what's written has to actually work.

For example, I copied the code from this post into a blank Notepad document, and then saved it as "battillion.bat". If you open it and the program runs, then you are successful.
You can also open up .bat files with a text editor later, to edit the coding.

If you're wondering how to make one from scratch... well, I haven't a clue what code it uses.

Bat files use a byzantine language- literally, it was invented by the eastern roman empire- that is rather old.
