Race: Humans (UNSC)
Advantages: Space Hardened (Better at Ship to Ship Battles, Boarding, etc.)
Disadvantages: Diplomacy
Ships: 1 Cruiser, Halycon Class, 2 Frigates, Frigate Class
Marines: ODST, Armour, Medium. Weapons, Assault Rifle, & Various Heavy Weapons
Starbase: Helios, A Massive Complex held within a Asteroid about half Earth's size

The colony equipment sells for 400,000 Credits. Or you can set up a second outpost. With free refuel and missile and ammunition based resupply.
The freighter appears to be slightly spaceworthy, so you leave a team of engineers, and two 5 man teams of Marines.

As you and your temporary allies near their starbase, you see they have a light Carrier. But behind that, is two heavy Cruisers. A one to one fight. The starbase begins it's withering barrage of weaponry. The Ssaros reply in kind.
What do you do?

You find the remains of an ancient Destroyer. It appears, due to the Asymmetry and gold colour, that it is Antaran. Before you can begin salvaging, an Antaran Marauder appears. A scan shows it's weapons are hot, and they plan on cooking your tasty flesh on them. What do you do?

Hand of Winter, Halycon Class; Fire Archer Missiles Pods 1 - 10, and Ready the MAC guns for fire next turn.
Satyr, and Nymph, Frigates; Fire Archer Missile Pods 1 - 5, and Rail Gun Turrets

The Antaran Marauder's Particle Beam weapons open fire on the missiles, but only a few get destroyed. What would have been a killing blow was negated by it's Damper Field. It launches a group of Antaran Interceptors, which have the appearance of glowing blue basketballs. It moves closer to your ships. It's firing is damaging the ship directly, as Particle beams ignore shields.

Take Evasive maneuvers, and open fire with the MAC guns, and the next five missile pods on each ship. Also use the Point-Defense Turrets to take out the interceptors.

The MAC Crew, wanting to outshoot the Archer gunners, fire first. It goes straight through the Damper field, annihilating the Marauder in one shot. The Satyr is shifted and buckled, but thanks to the UNSC's engineers, the ship survives.

Salvage the wrecks of the other ships, and use some of it to repair the Satyr to its former glory. Take the rest back to Helios, and see what supplies we have there.

Here's mine.

Race: Divashi
Advantages: Scavenger (Can make, find, and collect resources faster.), Nomadic (Haveno home planet or true starbase. Have more initiative and are naturally more agile and quicker to react.), Agile (Fast and quick to react)
Disadvantages: Hated (Treated as beggars and theives) Nomadic (Have no home planet or true starbase. They travel along the stars, gathering resources, ships, and jobs. Can't build starbases and don't have the time for great art or great research), Weak (They are naturally easy to kill, if you can hit them)
Ships: Light Carrier (named Mother-Of-Many,  Heavy Battleships (Vanguard )
Marines: Stealth Armour with active camo. Light weapons which often means a las-rifle. All marines have a personal communications system and tools to build fortifications and gather resources in a pinch.
Starbase: None.

Description: The Divashi once lived on the planet of Kyrios. They built cities of beauty, of excellence; of glass and jewels. One day however, they were attacked by an aggressive race from beyond the stars. The Divashi had weak weapons and even weaker defenses, most of their resources going to learning and the arts. They soon lost their home and about 80% of their population. The survivors split themselves and launched in every direction to escape their aggressors. Fast forward a millennium and the Divashi have adapted to a space environment and to be quick and pragmatic about their constructions, not perfectionists.

The Divashi are bipedal reptilians. They are around 4-5 feet in height. They are light in weight and are naturally weak in strength and toughness, their light bones and time spent in space have atrophied their ability to live in places with strong gravity. Most Divashi are enhanced with machinery to increase their chance of survival. The most common are hormone-controllers, a body monitor, a communications array, and mass-improvements.

I'll accept the Supercarrier on one condition. That you get attacked in greater numbers, Antarans raid you with bigger ships, and you get tougher missions. You will have to fight. A lot

Race: Humans (Tellian Dominion)
Advantages: Machinists (Can work wonders with mechanical and computerized equipment), AI Dictatorship (Higher degree of control over most aspects of life, usually improved for maximum efficiency and contentedness of the population), Robotic military (Most military units in the dominion are robotic units call mechanoids. The most common version is very humanlike, though several different types exist with some for infiltration and others more oriented to a support or industrial role.)
Disadvantages: Uptight (Will always consider themselves right, even if they're wrong), Remorseless (Will use whatever weapons they can find, regardless on whether they're banned or not, such as biological and chemical weapons.), Mental conditioning (Most humans allowed to leave a planet are scrutinized heavily, given neural staples to control certain fuctions effectively making them obidient drones. Individuals still retain their individuality but it is locked down.)
Ships: One Heavy cruiser, Two corvettes
Marines:
-Organization:
--Corvettes: One section (8 man units).
--Heavy Cruiser: Two Sections.
-Weaponry:
--Mainline Rifle: Taivus D-65, uses 8.7x65mm Rounds, quite tolerant of heavy modification.
--Squad Automatic weapon: Taivus, Uses 6.8 SPC cartridge, can be operated with or without a bipod. Integral three-shot reloadable MS grenade launcher also installed.
--Marksman Rifle: Taivus U-52, uses a 9.4x88mm round, Semi automatic rifle used for emilinating prioritytargets and light vehicles.
--Anti-tank weapon: Taivus K-93 Shoulder-braced cannon, fires 86mm shells and used primarily in an AT role, though can be used effectively in an Anti-personnel role when given the right munitions.
-Armour: AX Heavy infantry battlearmour: Built with a mixture of polymers, metals and ceramics, AX suits are built to withstand most weaponry up to light AT weapons, and has a light servomotor system to aid its wearer (By no means is it "True" power armour). A complete user interface designed to help the wearer is housed inside the helmet, which contains communications and HUD equipment among other things.
Starbase: An asteroid within the habitable band of a blue giant star.

Micelus. Accepted, if only one Heavy Battleship

Adwarf: the Satyr looks off with the Antaran Xentronium armour plates on, but nevertheless cool. you head back to Helios. there, you restock on missiles, and MAC projectiles. you can reverse engineer to fit on your ships
1 Death Ray (Cosmic Radiation Beam, kills enemy crew/Marines)
4 Particle Beams (Ignore Shields)
security stations (Marine Defense)
Xentronium Armour (Better armour, AP Resistant.)
