Welcome to Galaxies Unlimited, a space based RPG for any number of players! the rules are Simple
1) pick a universe/race, and determine strengths and weaknesses. Provided it's not too overpowered, I'll let it slide. If playing Humanity, specify type IE UNSC, TEC, Systems Alliance.
2) pick the type of system to put your home starbase in, IE Karuva system, outer meteor field. Bonuses to Asteroid fields for mining, space wrecks to salvaging ships/weapons. Provided it's not too overpowered, you can do it.
3) You get between 1-3 Ships, starting from Corvette to Battleship. Sizes (smallest to largest) are Corvette, Frigate, Monitor, Destroyer, Light Cruiser, Heavy Cruiser, Battlecruiser, Battleship, Light Carrier, Heavy Battleship, Titan, Heavy Carrier, Supercarrier, and Planetoid Fortress.
Your ships get a full complement of Marines (or equivalent) and each player gets one team (5-10) of unique Marines, basically the main characters. You are the commander, and you can participate in ground combat. If a unique Marine gets killed, they can be cloned. Generic Marines can have their own armour type and weapons, provided you show RESTRAINT.
4) be reasonable. You can do virtually anything, provided it's within realism. IE you can board and take over a ship, but if it's Battleship vs Planetoid Fortress, you couldn't HOPE to take it all over.

Race: Ssaros (original universe)
Advantages: Warlord (better generic Marines, ship combat etc)
Disadvantages: diplomacy (not very good) Feudal Government (various reactions from planetary rulers, low hiring cost, chance of fighting hostile Ssaros fleet, even if Ssaros)
Ships: 1 Battleship, Defender Class
Marines: Armour, light. Weapons, Phasor Rifle.
Starbase: located in space wrecks, named Perdition
