Hey. I'm from Kira Game Forums, figured I'd join here and correct & clarify a few things The Master said.

#1- It's not dedicated to roleplaying. We do have some forum and IRC run roleplaying games we do, such as Adventure Game, but that's not the main focus.

#2- What we ARE is a pretty cool forum where we lots of Forum Games. The main ones we do are based on the anime/manga Death Note. They're pretty cool. The one The Master linked you guys to is one I designed, but requires more active players for it than we have at KGF, as we're not exactly a big forum like this one, alas.

#3- What he did get right is that we're pretty cool forum community, (even The Master is cool, if you get to know him :P), and we're always accepting to new members.

Anyway, we're a small, chill, forum where we come up with crazy forum games to play. The current forum, which is HERE, is our 2nd forum, an upgrade from our last one, and still fairly new.

Feel free to join!

EDIT- Now that I think about it, I'd be fine with hosting my latest Kira Game design here, at Bay 12, if people are interested. Post here if you're up for it. Need 30-35 people. Rules and class info are HERE. It's a bit like the game Mafia.

EDIT2- LOL he removed his post. But you guys get the idea- we do forum games and other such fun stuff.

-Shrug- Sorry, I decided to join mainly to correct the fallacies in The Master's ad for Kira Game Forums. But when I noticed how huge and active this forum is, realized I could just host it here. I'll let the guys at KGF know I'm hosting this here, one or two of them may join.

oh.. just realized The Master posted this in the wrong area... Should I host it in the Mafia & Variants subforum? It is basically a more complex version of Mafia with more teams, all trying to get rid of the other teams and recruit the nonaligned players.

I don't think there's even thirty people in this subforum.

14-16 is about the upper limit we can manage before we start getting some serious activity problems, and that's for popular games run by established mods.

In other words, I don't think you're going to fill it here, and if you do, there's going to be lots of people who aren't going to be playing after a little while. And playing games where half the people aren't playing is fun for no one.

Greetings. Interesting OP you have there.

Regarding the playercap:

should I do an emergency temporal shift back to the original location?

That depends, but I don't think it'll be necessary. You're almost certainly not going to get 30-35 people, so I suggest you/Rorschach either decrease the size of the game to be more appropriate for a smaller subforum, or get people from the main FG&RP section over here to "increase the playerbase", so to speak.

Though this is certainly possible, and it's a definite way to get the game running, note that you will not be getting people who are used to the notion of Mafia and its rather demanding gameplay. If you don't mind that, go ahead.

Additionally, seeing as this is a Mafia variant (even if it might be a little removed from the core premise), it belongs here.
