I assume we cannot use our own necromancy yet, or at least nothing that involves chanting. It should be worth trying to remember the backstory. And checking our inventory. And our surroundings. And if we're wearing a fancy necromancy robe. And if we're wearing anything that binds us to his command.

We should also find our phylactery. We are a lich, after all.

I didn't really understand why I died until I discovered I was teleporting my own spine into my enemies' body as a primary way of attack.

New idea; rip off one of our fingers and throw it at him as testament to his terrible necromancy. Then spit on him if we can, just to make him feel bad about himself.

Check if the circle of runes is a binding circle. If so, remove one of the standards and try to wipe it away.

You check the circle, it doesn't feel like a binding circle, more like a carved in illuminating ring.

Wander off to the nearest tavern. You could use a stiff drink.

YES. We must kill our now-undead brain cells.

According to whatever logic there is in the undead, the only way to kill them is by damaging the body enough. Something like drinking which kills our braincells will probably only make us more intelligent. I am in support of finding a tavern to test this theory.
