Dwarves riding badgers? NEVAR!!!!

Also, aren't the military enough for an order of knights? I'd pick the assaults of soaps vs the knightly order of pristine nobles any day XD

War Dogs standing on top of War Giant Badgers on the other hand....

I think it would be cool to have all animals be able to be trained for war, as a lot of them are pretty useless at the moment. Or maybe just allow them to do little things to help out, like bringing their owners materials for workshop orders, hauling multiple items act a time, ect.

Though I'm always down to see a legendary axedwarf charge into battle with his war peahen.
All animals used for warfare is what elves do. Those "little things" are filed under "improved hauling" which is certainly an area Toady has thoughts on but probably won't get round to actually implementing them for quite some time. Afterall, he's thinking of mobile stockpile minecarts.

Congrats, Psieye. This is the first time I've seen a derailed thread get put back on the rails.

How will this new system react to fell moods by the way? Will it be as if the body was nowhere to be found, like after a cave-in, or will the moody dwarf admit what he did?

If it means I get war peahens, I'm totally cool with getting in touch with my elven side for a bit.

This is a sad day for all Dwarves, one of our own has fallen under the influence of the elves.

No worries, I'm not a dwarf, nor an elf. I'm an omnipresent being who considers himself to be the single highest power in existence.
Ergo, while I may not be a part of any one civilization, I do feel that I have absolute control over each every individual within them.

Now where's my war peahen.

Ursit:"Think he dies in magma?"
Cog:"I dunno, try it"

Urist:"Your war peahens are in that room right there, sir."

Edit:

Cog:"What was that? You gave him war peahens!"
Urist:"#1 Rule: Don't make the guy who can kill you angry."

If you get multiple vampires in your fort.... might they kill each other?

We turn all our dwarves, and make a giant loyalty cascade! Give the last one danger room and full candy. Equip with largest sword you can find.
