wall building error

the building of my microline wall was suspended because of the microline block that the mason had moved there in order the build the wall. kind of pathetic.

Are you sure it wasn't suspended because of the block for the wall beside it? The dwarf could have moved to build, stopped right before installing the block, and wandered off to drink or something.

Then the block would be in use for the other wall, thus unmovable and blocking the suspended wall. As soon as a dwarf grabs that block and builds the other wall, it will be out of the way for the wall you're trying to build and it can be completed.

this didn't happen, stone was for other wall. oops. (on a slightly unrelated note... why do dwarves leave one stone left under a building and suspend it after removing 5?)

They wont move any items that have a hauling task queued for the item. So that rock was destined to be used in a shop, moved to a stockpile, or used in a rewall.
