After a mildly exciting day, the sun rises on a day that promises to be more pedestrian, though certainly not by much. A day that we shall call Day 22.
Tournament:
1. Flint
Pay attention, Clara, you can't wear leather armor and a breastplate or leather leggings and greaves. Consider this your last warning.
Two gladiators walk into the arena with different backgrounds. One human, accustomed to being on top, and one dwarf struggling out of a slow start. Clara started at a blistering pace, quickly hacking apart Dastot's left hand, forcing him to lose hold of his battle axe. Soon after, another shot to the left upper lag ripped it to shreds, but Dastot didn't mind and charged the human into the ground and punched her ear apart. From there, the pair traded blocks, no one able to get in a decisive blow until Clara started tearing apart Dastot's lower body, tearing the pancreas and spilling his guts all over the place and watching as the dwarf bled out.
Clara wins 208 Urists in what is absolutely not an upset.
Forcing Administration to find and catch a Giant Moose, Pan fought it, hoping not to get a massive hoof to the head. The dwarf bashed away at the moose quickly, fracturing the left rear hoof, and tried to get in a shield-bash, but the attack simply glanced off a hoof. The moose, who was not amused, charged the dwarf into the ground, doing no damage, but the next charge stunned the dwarf into inaction, and a kick to the head tore apart the upper spine and paralyzed Pan. The Moose then proceeded to play around with the dwarf, shattering bones left and right, destroying the right hand, right upper leg, and left foot until another hit to the head jammed the skull through the brain.
Pan, although called Giant Killer, does not kill the giant in an upset.
Tersr fought a gorilla. That is all. With the two badgers constantly distracting the beast, Tersr danced around, slashing some fat here, stabbing a limb to little effect there, until he finally got his game on and stabbed the gorilla in the head, jamming the skull through the brain.
One shot to the left rear leg shattered it, and one more hit to the head struck it down. Thank god for quick battles.
Anxious to get a win in, Fekod fought a gorilla. Striking often, but ineffectually, Fekod had to deal with the gorilla's constant charging, taking 10 pages before a shot to the head, one of the only effective hits of the entire battle, jammed the skull through the brain and ended this marathon match.
Not to be put off balence by Jack, Administration sent him out to fight a jaguar without any clothing. At all. Luckily, he still had his armor and weapons. Taking just two stabs to win, Jack stabbed first in the right front leg, then to the head, shattering the skull and tearing apart the brain.
Literally riding his new elephant into battle, Matthias fought Karrk. The battle quickly devolved into one between elephant v.s jaguar and human v.s tigerman.
Chloe quickly go blood on her tusks after a charge put the jaguar on the ground and a gore to the lower body tore the stomach. The moment the jaguar stood up, the elephant charged again, this time shattering a rib with a kick. This pattern continued, and the elephant once again charged, this time taking more advantage of the Jaguar's stunned nature to gore it in the head, jamming the skull through the brain.
Did you know that tigerman tails were protected by mail shirts? Neither did I, and neither did Matthias as he had a blow deflected there. The tigerman then quickly put a stunned Matthias on the ground, taking the time to cut the right foot clean off and quickly removing the left upper arm. Although a short passage of trading blocks and parries ensued afterwards, the battle was over at this point, though a late Chloe charge almost brought victory to Matthias, it was only a matter of time before Karrk stabbed the head, jamming the skull through the brain. Coincidently, Chloe took Karrk out very soon after. Like, one more gore to the head soon after.
Karrk wins a major upset! Barely!
Remember that the material modifier for leather is capped at *2, so Grizzly Bear leather armor only costs 42 (21*2=42).
The grizzly bear was quickly charged by Bragheera, but no damage was done, but it only took one scratch to the lower body to put it to sleep, apparently, and the giant leopard and Sodel started bashing at the head, failing for 2 pages and managing only to bruise the skull with their bites and pine swords. Finally it bled to death and freed the duo to fight Cephlin.
Cephlin was largely unable to hurt Roosevelt, but Roosevelt couldn't hit Cephlin either, and neither did any damage. It wasn't until Sodel came in to take apart the right hand and the elf's shield that the hits started flowing in, and it didn't take long for Roosevelt to score a hoof to the head.
Take 100 Urists of training on the house, and a wooden item of choice.

As Matthias and Pan both lose, hope shows for the rest of the field as both are proven to not be immortal and able to be defeated, regardless of their massive Net Worth advantage. Clara is also just one more win away from overtaking Sodel and vaulting into first place, taking back what was originally hers.
With the tournament in just two days, the gladiators start clamoring for information, and for once Administration is willing to give. The tournament is going to have a cap at how much Net Worth you can have and still compete set at 1000 Urists. Those with a Net Worth higher than that can still participate, though they will have to temporarily reduce their skills and put aside their expensive weaponry and armor for the duration of the battle so that they fight with only 1000 Net Worth of Skills and arms. Because of the potentially high cost of acquiring new weapons and armor, Administration is loaning all tournament participants with a New Worth higher than 1000 Urists 250 Urists to be used to buy equipment for the tournament that will be taken away as soon as they are eliminated from the tournament or it is over.
