Each gladiator is either Human, Dwarvern, or Elven and starts with 50 urists. Urists can be used to buy items or skills. An item can be bought for the value of the iterm, given
here, with the modification of lead to have a cost multiplier of x10. Items can be sold for half of their value. Increasing a skill be one level costs 10 urists multiplied by the resultant level, up to level 15. For example, increasing a skill from nothing to level 5 costs 10x(1+2+3+4+5)=150. Skills cannot be sold. One can also buy animals. Animals are bought at their pet value. Only tameable animals may be bought. No more than two animals may be owned at a time.
For each day of the arena, you can choose what you want your gladiator to do. Your gladiator can choose to fight in a tournament, fight a single battle, fight another gladiator, fight an arena master, fight an animal, or do nothing.
If your gladiator does nothing, then nothing happens.
If you choose to fight a single battle, then you choose from the list of single battles. If you win, then you gain the prize from that single battle. If you lose, then you lose 10% of your worth.
If you choose to fight another gladiator, then you must challenge that gladiator. You impose whatever terms and conditions on the challenge that you like. The other character must accept in order to fight, though. In addition to the terms and conditions, the winner gains 10% of the combined worth of the two combatants.
If you choose to fight an arena master, then it is similar to fighting a single fight. However, each gladiator can only fight an arena master once, and there may be special conditions for the fight. As each arena master is defeated, the next one is unveilied.
If you choose to fight in a tournament, then you must enter yourself into the tournament. Once the tournament starts, then you cannot fight any non-tournament fights until you are either knocked out or the tournament ends. NPC gladiators may be created in order to get sufficient numbers to properly run a tournament.
If you choose to fight an animal, there is no prize. When fighting an animal, you cannot use other pets that you own. After you fight an animal, if you win, you may purchase it for its petvalue if it is tameable. You may not own more than two animals at a time.
No character will fight twice in a single day.
The object of the game is to become the arena grand champion. In order to do this, the character must gain items and skills and beat each of the arena masters. Once the arena masters are each beaten, then the grand champion fight becomes available. Once someone beats the grand champion, they win the game.
