Bah, okay, back to the magical Ō-yoroi then.

(edit: character sheet should be complete now then.)

I can make it this Saturday. Not entirely sure about next week, but my schedule will be a bit more consistent in a week or two.

EDIT: What's great about being a dwarf with 20 strength? Carrying around a 16 gallon barrel of ale. 140 lb of carrying capacity wasted, but I bet it'll be worth it.

Inventory complete. Wondrous items seem costly and ineffective for barbarians.

The issue there Mainiac is your assumption that stat distribution works on a straight line. It is in fact a very steep bell curve with like 95% of the population having their main stat be 13.

I said "standard deviation".

IMPORTANT QUESTION:

Who cannot show up on Saturdays at 1700 GMT (ie. 1:00 PM EST)?
Should be good for me.
I'll be updating my character sheet with more monies.

I can do that.

Ah. Okay. Sorry.

This time is good for me as well. Now I just have to update my inventory.

EDIT: And done! I'm loving my new handy haversack. Makes carrying useful stuff all that much easier.  :D

I can't make a session Friday or Saturday this week, but I can make it pretty regularly any week afterward.

You are really going to lug around that barrel? All the time?

Maybe. ;D

It fits so well next to the backpack and the portable ram. Not to mention that the tent fits so well on top of the barrel.

I really have to draw this dwarf when I have more time.

I picture him having the barrel tied around him with ropes and all the other stuff hanging off it somehow. A bit ramshackle, but that only gives him charm.  ;)

We have like 9 people already. I was looking for like 5. I'm only letting more than 5 people join on the assumption that some fraction of them will flake out/quit and that we'll usually have only 5-6 people show up for a session. I'm also reworking some encounters to streamline them to a certain degree. More "puzzle" monsters, more solo bosses, less hordes of mooks. Which reminds me of something that I wanted to mention:

-Your enemies will usually surrender if you're beating them handedly, both because they'd be daft not to and because it saves us from having the combat drag out needlessly. As your DM, I request that you default to accepting these surrenders. I'll not cheat you out of loot if you fail to kill every last enemy, so don't feel obliged to kill and loot everyone you meet.

I'm glad that someone is being sane when dealing with encounters. I think this will be my first campaign where people actually surrender, and I've played lots of D&D.

I'm okay with that. I could only imagine not doing it if they for example killed one of our PC's and we were out for blood...

EDIT: Also, assuming it's alright, I was going to redo my char and add that extra gold. He'll still be a Kob Fighter but I'm thinking of making him a more mobile defender/Spear fighter.
