Kenzcla maintains that the Drow's assault on them was because the drow's city wasn't properly marked. Having their plant destroyed because of their deceit does not give them the right to make demands. It's tragic that they lost their plant, but not anything we owe them for. Likewise the damage they did to me will be forgiven since their plant also suffered damage.

He advocates trade between the Drow and our military outpost. Supplies for Knowledge. He does not feel recovering the plant is necessary, but will defer to the party if they decide to go that way.

He also argues for the Drow to contact their leadership and get in contact with the Elfin Kingdoms. He argues that conflict with Unterhold will get worse and their independence allows this action. He says it's unlikely the Elfin Kingdoms will just accept them easily after they refused to join and fight against the giants, but new relations between the groups would be beneficial for both.

To recap:

Out brave heros did the following this session:
-Invading the Abbey of Saint Loris through the shrine to the Fish God Omoth.
-Terrifying innocent drow children.
-Being held at crossbow point by an irate elven schoolmarm.
-Being lectured on ancient elven history.
-Eavesdroppinging on their hosts through the door.
-Fighting dwarves pretending to be duerger.
-Uncovering a false flag opperation by Unterhold against some rebels.
-Interrogating prisoners.
-Threatening to mindrape prisoners.
-Offering to kill prisoners before their execution.
-Watching on as a nutty drow abbot fed some dwarves to sharks.
-Trying to talk their way out of having to replace the assassin vine they killed.

For these exploits, everyone gets 500xp.

There's also the following loot:
-32 pounds of gold ingots in a sack.
-5 ornate crystal holy symbols, devoted to an unknown god.
-5 suits of masterwork crystalline banded mail.
-4 masterwork longspears with dull crystal tips.
-1 dwarven waraxe of vibrant red crystal. Appears to be magical.

The drow currently expect you to go on a trip for them across the Sunless Sea to one of their larger outposts and pick up an assassin vine to replace the one the party killed. They're going to send word ahead by bat that you're expected and will be quite miffed if you try to avoid doing it.

The abbot points out that they've gone 6 generations since the last time ignorant foreigners last destroyed one of the sacred vines because they didn't know what it was and that it's definitely your fault for destroying it. He also mumbles something about "stubborn trolls" under his breathe where you weren't supposed to hear it.

The drow refuse to even consider the suggestion that they contact the Elfin Council. The Abbot, somewhat impatiently, explains that the Elfin Kingdoms cast them out of their former homeland when they refused to become part of the Elfin Kingdoms and that they can deal with Unterhold just fine without bowing to their ancient enemies.

Oooo... Pretty gold...

I lay claim to 6 pounds of gold ingots, a holy symbol, 1 spear and 1 suit of armor. I'll be putting all of that on the ship in my chest, for safe storage.

And I am largely relieved that assassin vines take 7 years to grow, and wont spontaniously grown out of my pack on exposure to water. So now I won't be suddenly eaten by the seeds in my pack.

Also, I reckon one of the tanks should get that axe, probably someone like Dwarmin or Gem. It looks like it could do some damage, so should be used as much as possible!

I could use that crystal armor, probably, as crystal armor usually gives some kind of psionic benefit.

I'm not sure what Loaw can take-do magic weapons change to Kobold size in this game? I know armor does, but Loaw can only use light.

If so, are any of the weapons magic?

I cast detect magic.

Also, next time we prepare spells I will get Identify.

Edit: Also, lets not claim any loot until we can sell the shit we don't want, then we can divvy it out.

Y'know? We should plant the assassin vine on our ship. And train it.

...

I'll help the party, but I do not wish to help the drow again.

I'm totally going to grow a tamed assassin vine aboard the ship. Heheheh. Plant growth anyone?

Don't have one yet. I can't find any satisfactory animals in the PHB list.

I think we need to report this as soon as possible, even if it means lying to the drow.

Helping them could create a incident with the vampire, which may be the last thing we want right now.

Could I have permission to use a specified under-a-certain-HD-limit animal as my animal companion? As in 1 HD or lower, I think. Because wolves are 1 HD.
