Not to mention the numerous magical ways to create wind, heck there's even a enchantment for sails somewhere to have them always be full of wind. Probably stormwrack, something like everfull sails.

No wind in the endless underground Kogan.
Caves are subjected to the same forces that create wind elsewhere. The larger the area, the greater the temperature variance potential. The more temperature variance, the more likely you will have different pressures. Different pressures equal wind. In a large underground ocean, there most certainly would be wind.

Ooh. Think of all the alternative possibilities of climate and such. There could be parallels in weather and things. Like something like rain or hail, fog, things like that. Magical effects might be able to cause storms inside the cave.

Predictably, My Kobold has levels in profession (Ratcatcher). Much more cost effective than keeping a cat.

I was going to put
"A Ship's Cat, because you can't trust Reptilian vermin to catch vermin!"
in my things the ship needed, but I decided against it. Mostly because I don't think Grek would have taken another reference to Mister Puffins very well :)

Spoiler: Naga (click to show/hide)

Here you go, Grek. Tell me what you think. They're very tweakable.

Perhaps the player can choose at chargen? Or maybe males get Constrict, and females get Bite/Swallow Whole?

I think I may make a Naga character and hold it in reserve, should people drop out and Grek not mind me taking a slot.

Actually, if he deems both not too much, then I could probably just go with both. Alternatively, I could reduce the damage they do. Hm...

@Dwarmin: You have 1 ship, and you can't store an unlimited number of prisoners in there. Your biggest defense against people you beat deciding to come back for revenge is that you can go back to the boat and sail away if you decide that you've made too many enemies in a given place. It's not like they're going to swim after you or something.

@Zako: There aren't any standing bounties for you to claim. It's an unexplored territory and neither you nor the people you work for know much about the people inside know enough about them to want to place a bounty on anyone. That said, the natives might have some bounties on the local pirates...

@Edio: Naga is approved, given that you mean "Like an elf from the legs UP" not from the legs down. Elf legs and snake upper body precludes arms, which are somewhat of a requirement to be a playable character. Thematically, they come from one of the southern Elfin Kingdoms.

They get Swallow Whole (tiny or smaller only; you can't swallow entire gnomes) and Constrict 1d6+Str. The bite is 1d4+Str, but, as a natural attack, is considered secondary if you use any manufactured weapons.

Fair warning then, if you get us to accept a surrender from an enemy who attacks us again, we'll just go back to killing everyone. :P

I don't know, It'd depend on the situation for me.

If we fight them in a pitched battle and we capture him as a prisoner of war, and exchange him for other prisoners, and we run into him again, I think I would still give quarter. If they surrender and then attack once we let our guard down, then yea it would be to their death. If we took them prisoner and then they tried to escape later that evening I probably would accept their surrender as well.

My spellcraft is +5 [Int] +6 [Ranks] +3 {Skill Focus [Spellcraft]} +2 {Masterwork Tools [Spellcraft]}

Which gives me a total of +16. I need to get 17 to copy a level two spell. Lowest I can roll on a 1d20 is a 1.

So I did not bother to roll. I spent most of my money on new spells.

I am thinking vaguely of dropping the most expensive ones and buying Bracers of Armor. I will decide later.

Dude, that is a very large amount of skill for a level 3 character! O.o

Good to know that the locals might pay us for hunting some douchebag down. Also, this is a massive underground OCEAN. I would expect that some people would have boats, and that there are monsters that can swim and might even swim after us if we sail away in a hurry. We should keep an eye out for pirates as well, since they could come out of nowhere when we are sailing.

I'll be trying to get as much concentration as possible to as to gain Psionic Focus whenever possible. Why? Free +1 ML if I use it, 1d8 damage to me if I don't. Yay for psionic feats!

(Overchannel and Talented, specifically. Also Stygian Archon, but that's unrelated.)

I may already have +21 to swim (5 (strength) + 6 (skill) + 8 (Racial) + 2 (M. Tools)) and a swim speed, but I want to swim up a waterfall at some point in this campaign. I might even spend a feat for some more swim speed if it will help. I kind of want to know the DC for swimming up a waterfall now.
