On another note,

Epic musik with creepyish video, to wake me up since its 2 AM and I'm tired! I just discovered the Play Entire Playlist feature, and am very happy that it contains all of my favorites including the 30 or so songs that aren't appearing on my Favorites for some reason. Woo!

Psssssssss... Shhhhhhhhh.

    A complex superhighway of electronic wiring and ancient circuitry spatters to life as the rusted doors of twelve Cryo-Chambers gently slide open. A dozen dazed Pixels open their clouded eyes for the first time in many years, their memories as hazy and immaterial as the rapidly-crystallizing vapor escaping from each Cryo-Chamber. After countless moments the first of the group exits his Cryo-Chamber, the pod's faint bluish glow casting an array of alien shades upon his pale skin. Like a battered old CPU booted for the first time in decades, it takes a bit of time for the Pixel's brain to become fully aware. The first undeniable urge he feels is as old as life itself. Before his mind begins to question the meaning behind its foggy existence, or even the name of its  curious host, it registers a single overwhelming signal. Hunger. The most primordial function of the living is to feed, this Pixel is no different. Half-blind, he stumbles out from the misty Cryo-Storage and into a vast network of metallic halls where scattered scrap metal, electronic components and rubbish lay strewn about. One by one, each Pixel takes their first shambling step from their respective Cryo-Chamber and onto the cold, hard metal floor of their barren prison. Eventually the first-woken arrives at a functioning display console and haphazardly crunches a few buttons, hoping for information on his whereabouts.

"Greetings, Sayaks. I see you have awoken from your slumber. It has been many years since a living organism walked these halls... Welcome to Space Station Hyperion, the last bastion of humanity. It is a pleasure to know that our cryogenic facilities still function after th- thh ra- shh - sto- shhshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...

    A gentle yet dominant female voice crackles through the display console's integrated speakers, informing Sayaks of his apparent location upon the Hyperion Station in orbit of planet Earth. Before he can utter a croak from his long-unused vocal chords, the female voice is cut off. A single line of blue text flashes across the otherwise pitch-black display console as Sayaks shuts off the vocal emitter: "Signal from A.R.I.A. Unit lost. Command Module damaged. Station Roster data transfer complete. Power surge imminent." Within moments the screen fades to black as Sayaks struggles to comprehend what just occurred.

    As lost and utterly confused as Sayaks, the second-woken wanders nearby just in time to overhear the AI's message. Shambling towards him on uneasy feet, she stumbles and lands on her behind; thankfully padding its impact with the cold steel floor. Resigned, she turns her swirling, hazy eyes to him and says, "So, your name is Sayaks, huh? Space Station Hyperion... I don't know what bothers me more; The fact that we're in a pressurized tin-can floating in space, or the fact that I have no idea who I am. At least you have a name."

    An hour later the twelve have somehow managed to stumble their way into the station's Cafeteria. The speechless group has poured itself over the printed Station Roster in order to figure out their identities and names. Not much is certain, but each person has more or less decided who they are based on their intuition alone; their fragmented memories doing little to reassure them of their accuracy. Of the thirty or so names on the roster, it is woefully apparent that not even half of the crew has been located. As the Twelve fumbling individuals try to grasp at their situation, the time comes for each of them to find their place among the station. Each of them speak now, their first dry-lipped words in years... Perhaps even decades. One thing is certain, though; if they are to survive the week, they will have to work together to repair whatever damage they find, as well as secure food, water and supplies to supplement their meager existence.

    What horrors befell the Hyperion, that only forty percent of its crew made it to their Cryo-Chambers? Why does the station appear to have been systematically torn apart as if in search of something? Are the station's life support systems intact? Or will they suffocate; their eyesight and minds reduced to a haze as they asphyxiate and die just as they were reborn... There are so many questions, and no answers in sight. Our first priority is to ensure our survival on the Hyperion. Questions and answers can come later, once we've got a chance at surviving through the night.

Meet A.R.I.A. - Artificial Robotic Intelligence Array. She will be the crew's best friend and guiding light through these undeniably dark days ahead. Granted, that's if you can get the AI systems back online. You're half-blind, starved, freezing cold, and utterly confused. All you know is your name and your general profession title without any specifics. (Station Roster on OP)

Utter your first words, and choose your actions wisely. I'd prefer more detailed orders/actions than the other Pixels games, due to the amount of RP and hidden information contained in Pixel Station: Hyperion. Remember, the orders posted here are visible to the entire crew and the AI. Should you wish to engage is something sneaky or that you don't immediately want to reveal, PM me your particular order for processing. That includes Xeno orders. Also, getting a little ahead of yourself. Take it easy! I'll be posting every day, possibly multiple times a day. Remember, you don't know if the hangar is even intact and functioning. The station will have to be explored and repaired before much of anything functions. We're going to take this one a little slowly, to get everyone into the RP and figure out what everyone's going to be doing.

Updated tileset! Habitation module complete, added a TV room featuring a movie about a rampaging dragon, pretty red flowers, and a relaxation room. Now that I've got the module and nature color schemes standardized, I can quickly and easily reproduce the rest of the modules without a hitch. Oh, also note the completed AI Satellite Uplink where the AI's power supply comes from; hence why the AI functions even if the Station's engine is powered down and the energy cell's are depleted.

I'm going to work now, but I'll work on spriting all day at work.

Post your moves, guys, and hopefully I'll have a finished Station for you guys to enjoy!

Remember, each module is off-limits until it is explored specifically, and then any problems with it corrected!
