I have extra space in my fortress, any ideas?

*Insert title*  It is in roughly the dead center of my horizontal fort. Right now I am deciding between a giant statue or an arena... OR a giant statue holding the arena! The space is only about 14x10 and I have plenty of bedrooms and storage. Do you have any suggestions for a Fun megaproject? Preferably (as elfy as it sounds) not involving magma, I haven't gotten around to a pump stack yet. It is a bit labor intensive and right now I'm going for aesthetics as opposed to usefulness. I'm sort of feeling the giant statue holding the arena...Made out of gold and silver. Opinions?

Fill it with water and link it to a lever that will allow you to flood your fort at whim.

I vote for an automated noble disposal system.
Preferably with cotton candy spike/spear traps.
it is usefull AND astetic.
And it gets the walls new paint periodically.

- build an agora/forum
- build a palace for your favourite dwarf
- build a zoo
- build a gravity testing tower
- build an island in the middle of your city including a dwarf or two who are isolated to live on that island

Go for the giant statue with the arena on top. Connect it to tubes (you can do this later) with magma and water, so you can make fights more intresting. Remember to make a drainage system
