Well I know of a guy who's just started a series where he's attempting to roleplay it a bit. In fact, I'm one of the characters: a washed up stand-up comic who practices medicine without a license. Oh, and former sufferer of dwarven-rabies. Cured now, of course. *cough*

His episode zero explains his intentions and requests character ideas for the starting seven dwarves. That one may be a bit obsolete I guess. Episode one is the embarking and creation of the characters. The play begins with episode two, and oh... episode three has just appeared! I guess I'll have to watch that in a minute. ;P

He's also completed a previous attempt, but that was just a regular LP without any roleplaying. It was still entertaining tho'.

Agreed. One of my favorite LP's to date, I have all the videos saved to my external. I really hope he starts playing again.

What got me started was a random video of magma hitting water.

I was intrigued by wtf I was actually looking at.

Played dwarf fortress, did horribly. Rage quit.

But by then it was already too late to turn my back.

Jefmajor has some very good let's play. Hes also very funny and does some stupid stuff, just as you should as you play dwarf fortress.

What  "THAT" side of the fourm and what is "them" ?

So I did a foretress last night. Had lots of !!FUN!!
The list of things that happened:Monkey Raids, High master evgraver, thirst from lack of Rum and liquid water (It was auttem), and a upsetting storm of doom....... plus good designing...... sortof.

I forgot to make a farm for my darves and they ..... droped dead from thirst around mid auttem.
Thats what happened.  total time : 6:00-11:30 (I was having too much fun)

Also thanks for the best welcome ever!
