Also, what size of vehicle counts as a vehicle? Can vehicles only legally cross areas the owner has clearnace for?

You don't need to download anything (or anything). Either we're doing it on Steam chat, in which case you just need to join the DFC Paranoia group; or we're doing it in mibbit IRC, in which case you just need to enter the channel a bit before we start the sessions. Link for the latter was a page or two back.

Not sure exactly what you mean with the first. By my understanding, autocars are generally around the size of a van; crawlers are APCs; etc. etc.

If you're in a vehicle above your clearance that doesn't give anyone outside a view of you, you might be able to. But vehicles are all clearance-marked, so you'll have a hard time with that in the first place. And roads are (generally) IR-rated.

I prefer steam as well, except for the tendency to drop people from the chat. I seem to recall at least one session where we didn't get a complete log because everyone lost connection at least once.

1. Experiment with them and find out.
2. The higher your degree, the higher up you are and the more you can get from your SS.
