The sun doesn't form light, it releases energy in the form of thermal radiation and light energy from nuclear fission...

Whip
N.
1. A long thin or flexible tool for striking. 2. In response to the Dwarven Atom Smasher, the Human Large Hadron Collider, and the Kobold XxSilk LoinclothxX replicator, the Goblins devised an equally ingenious, but much more EVIL tool of mass destruction to fit their needs. Capable of splitting atoms with all the weight focused into its end, it causes a sub nuclear reaction, crushing bones and severing limbs with the ease of dwarf devouring a plump helmet.

Little addition to beards.
Beards allow dwarfs to telepathically communicate with each other.

Y'know, I think that takes a level of intelligence a little bit higher than what they possess... like... some...

Y-Yak.

Long haired bovines that eat a large amount of grass.  An amount so large that, in fact, it is not an uncommon sight to see yak skeletons scattered across a dwarf fortress.

Don't forget their lethality towards civilians if in skeletal form.

Er, yes, and that means it's forming light. It's turning matter into light; it is forming light from matter.

Er, yes, and that means it's forming light. It's turning matter into light; it is forming light from matter.

But form in the context it was used, implied that light energy was being formed, not transferred, which would break the first law of thermodynamics (I think:), in a literal dictionary:P)

Interesting idea, might do it in the future, but the dictionary isn't too messy to quit just yet, might start a poll on it though ^_^

Only in the original formulation of the law. Modern physics embraces mass-energy equivalence. Or in other words... I'm thinking about this too hard, aren't I?

Captain of the Guard
N.
1. The chief law enforcement officer in the mountainhome. 2. The most harmless, nicest dwarf in the fort armed with only a wooden shield and a candy mace, who enforces the law with gentle tappings and kind suggestions. When not eating plump helmet donuts or sleeping, he's often attending a party with loving friends. 3. A horrific, blood soaked figure clad in gore-covered mail and armed with a rusty steel axe and his Armok-given fists. He wanders the halls, cutting down any and all who break even the lightest infraction, never stopping, giving no mercy and no quarter. All in the fort trembles at his footsteps.

I'm not talking about mass energy equivalence, I'm talking about creating energy out of nothing:P
[Yes this is already in my dictionary, just saying it doesn't belong in a literal dictionary;]

And you probably are taking thinking about this too much :D
